As Qian Renxue and Cai Wen engaged in conversation, the majority of their classmates, including Hu Liena, Xie Yue, and Yan, watched them with expressions of bewilderment.
"Could you perhaps shed some light on who this young lady is, Little brother?" Hu Liena inquired, striving to maintain a polite demeanor.
Qian Renxue's gaze shifted towards her, a spark of recognition flickering in her eyes. The look she returned mirrored the one she had given Cai Wen when they first met: full of hostility, if not even more so.
With a scoff, she cast Hu Liena a disdainful glance before turning her gaze away, leaving Hu Liena feeling slighted. In response, Hu Liena shot Qian Renxue an icy glare before dismissing her in turn.
Cai Wen found himself at a loss, his extensive life experience offering no guidance on how to navigate the tension between the two little girls.
"Allow me to introduce you," he said, trying to lighten the mood. "This is Qian Renxue, the granddaughter of the Grandworship and also a dear friend of mine."
"The Grandworship?" A voice echoed from the crowd. Among the inhabitants of Douluo continent, while most of the lower echelons remained ignorant about the Grandworship, those in higher positions knew of Qian Daoliu. He was known for bestowing titles upon the new Title Douluo's, apart from Bibi Dong.
As students of the Spirit Hall Academy, they were well-informed about the hierarchy within the Spirit Hall. They understood that the Grand Worship held significant power, only slightly less than the Pope. However, if all the seven elders beneath the Grandworship agreed on a matter, even the Pope would be powerless to oppose them.
The revelation left the students stunned, but they soon regained their composure. Despite Qian Renxue being the granddaughter of one of the Spirit Hall's leaders, they were already used to the presence of two disciples of the Pope themselves. However, the revelation that Qian Renxue was also the Pope's daughter could potentially change their perceptions.
"Excuse me, Miss Renxue, but could you share your current level? I don't intend to be impolite, but most of us here have already reached the Spirit Elder level, apart from Cai Wen," Xu Mei, the group's healer, asked respectfully. The students had undergone rigorous training and were provided with various resources to accelerate their cultivation, so such questions were not out of place.
"Hmph, don't compare me to your standards. I'm already at level 33, and I'm only eight years old," she declared proudly. Her proclamation sent shockwaves through the group, with the exception of Cai Wen who was not surprised given her exceptional talent.
"33?!" A student exclaimed, his mouth agape. No one ridiculed him, as they all shared his disbelief.
They alternated their gazes between Qian Renxue and Cai Wen, wondering, 'Since when did cultivation become so easy? Are we even truly geniuses!?'
Cai Wen's rapid progress had already exerted considerable pressure on his peers. His progress was noteworthy; he had reached level 28 in just a year at the tender age of eight. To his peers, this seemed an impossible feat. Yet, there was now another prodigy amongst them, one who is just one level lower from their highest level which Yan and Xie Yue.
Qian Renxue observed their reactions with a sense of satisfaction. There was a distinct difference between receiving praise from those who had raised her and the admiration of strangers. Their reactions confirmed her superiority, and this filled her with gratification.
Her gaze then landed on Hu Liena, and she couldn't help but regard her with disdain. 'From what I can see, she's barely at Spirit Rank 32 and must be around 12-13 years old. How disappointing. I could accept Cai Wen's as my mother disciple with his rapid advancement, given his close competition with me, but this girl is merely average. How can she possibly have a closer relationship with my mother than I do?'
She gritted, and pondered this as she observed Hu Liena and Bibi Dong together before, the pair sharing a mother-daughter like bond. The sight stoked the fires of resentment within her. She believed she should be the one at Bibi Dong's side, not Hu Liena.
Hu Liena sensed the hostility directed at her and was puzzled. She sought Cai Wen for assistance, but he was equally as baffled.
Suddenly, Ghost Douluo coughed to gain their attention. "As Miss Renxue has indicated, she will be joining as your new teammate. Her strength does not even required to be tested, and she has been trained by her grandfather which ensures her capabilities," he announced.
The group accepted the news with calm acceptance, all except Hu Liena. She felt a sudden clarity, realizing this was the source of the unease she'd been feeling all day, yet she was still perplexed about why.
Ghost Douluo then continued, "We will now proceed to your next training phase, which will extend over a significant duration, depending on how quickly you can complete it."
"Your fourth training session will involve... real combat."
"You will all participate in the Great Spirit Arena, from 1vs1, duo, and 7 vs 7 team battles. You must each earn a gold medal before this training is deemed complete."
