Chapter 5: Chapter 4.5 Beginning of the Tragedy
Meanwhile, the everyday life of the East Chinese region was underway of there was a massive breakthrough in the darkness or at the peak of the hierarchy
Many years ago in East China, there was a company named B.Y.G that started in the 20th century, and a few years before the start of the 21st century they were the ones that called all the shots in East China while they weren't big and influential as the others in Central but they had their fair share of it.
Holding a monopoly over the entire region they exercised their authority as they pleased the Media, Education, Enforcement, and medical field almost every field imaginable were under their control being able to control so many different fields made the group greedy.
As one of the 7 deadly sins of humanity, they weren't able to suppress their desires and greed any longer even though they had all they needed in the East
B.Y.G group started to experiment in new fields hoping to innovate cutting-edge technology in many fields to have leverage and a firm foothold in the Central so they can expand on their territory.
First, they started like normal businessmen settling around their area collecting data on ways they could improve, and that made a lot of people happy making them hope for an improvement in their everyday lifestyle.
But after a few months the top executives realized this plan wouldn't work if the improvement of Cental was equal to 1 per month they were on a pace of 1.1 per month which is faster than Central but they were burning more resources on that so the slight improvement did not satisfy them
eventually one of the executives devised a plan that would doom all of their life in the future
The plan was simple there were human experiments they did in the medical area hoping to cure cancer but in another area, there were the Human experiments
Curing cancer was a goal that humanity as a whole was striving toward if someone were to discover the way they would be hailed as a Genius their name would be forever etched in the proper human history as a head figure of the medical field
But the B.Y.G group didn't want to cure it for this reason the real answer was the way of marketing it people live and die that was a fact in the face of death everyone was equal that was just a fact of life and getting cancer of any sort was a guaranteed way of meeting death early
The number of advantages of curing cancer was much more than just respect and praise it was money and influence so they were passionate about this project yielding results in 5 to 10 years
after a year of research and hard work, the top executives found out that there was no progress in the Cancer curing Project named "Immovable Foothold" The reasons for the stagnation were simple
The amount of data they could collect was small because most citizens chose to privatize their data blocking them from accessing it even if they had a big influence, they needed to know their place the government was still stronger.
So the tragedy of Human experiments started
B.Y.G group first started by creating many hollow companies around the countryside collecting information for a certain demographic under the pretense of expanding business which raised no suspicion and started the experiment.
Following the data they started to collect poverty-stricken people giving them false hope, selling them a dream of no more starvation stable jobs, and improved healthcare under their wings
even if the adults refused when promised education for their children in the future they couldn't disagree with the deal and accepted the terms.
The Facility was full of people getting admitted as patients the elderly, adults, children getting admitted with 3 meals a day with education promised.
filled with arrogance the high-level researchers, doctors, nurses promised to cure Cance under 5 years in the contract getting outrageous number of resources and free reign in the facility.
it was simple at the start they were injected with an unknown fluid and allowed the doctors to analyze their bodies every day with state-of-the-art technology monitoring their health every minute of the day.
the Unknown vial was of course cancer the doctors implanted existing cancer roots in the patient's body forcing them to have cancer so they could study the process of cancer growth and by controlling what they eat and their activity during the day it allowed the doctors to grow the cancer in any way they needed.
the experiments continued.
Minutes passed, soon turned into Hours into Days then Weeks, and finally Months.
After many months of analyzing the data the doctors and researchers understanding of Cancer was getting less and less the more, they studied Cancer the less they understood it was turning more complicated week by week pushing them close to the madness. The harder they tried to understand the less it would make sense.
and the incident of B.Y.G company getting humiliated by one of the Titans existing within Central didn't help their workload either.
Under immense stress and their worldview of knowledge they accumulated through their everyday life living and studying being mocked the doctors went further into Insanity and started to believe defeating this disease was the sole reason for their existence which wasn't a bad thing
The ending was clear it was to cure Cancer but the small part by the side 'BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY' made things deviate.
as the months passed the patients started to get anxious their bodies were getting harder and harder their minds turning hazier and dizzier by day and the hints of insanity in the doctors and researchers didn't help calm the anxiety either but the contract their signed had tied a tight leash around their neck soon they didn't have much strength left to move
Slowly the doctors way of treatment strove away from the orthodox path of medicine
they started to use different medications different chemicals soon they even started to poison the patients with chemicals hoping to fight poison with poison the doctors had lost their sanity under the pressure and the mocking disease.
the agreement they signed with B.Y.G made them unable to leave the area of the Research further intensifying their Insanity
Another few months later a breakthrough happened in the research facility the doctors finally went mad and started to use radioactive chemicals in the treatment contaminating everyone in the facility
not being able to hold it any longer some doctors, researcher, and nurse tried to escape the facility attracting attention from the masses of the population.
turns out that holding a facility full of poor people and injecting them with cancer to try to understand cancer by giving them different medications every week and injecting them with different chemicals everyday wasn't the most legal thing to do
the Company needed an escape from this mess the goal of curing cancer became something impossible for them and they tried to deal with the facility quickly and quietly
taking in the patients that once lived in the facility their rotting corpses with inhuman burns and molds growing, they looked more like experiments than patients when the private security under B.Y.S transported them into a remote countryside and hired a local gang to dig a big hole near a big forest to bury their problems away no one judged if the idea was smart or not.
it just needed to be done quickly and quietly the gangsters were just asked to dig a big hole to collect dirt for research on special kinds of bugs.
the plan was successful, but they didn't know the existence of a small village around the area where more traditional people lived in
