Su Yun after getting beaten thought she would be expelled from the base. Everyone else thought so too.

But to her surprise Boss Su let her stay.

Su Yun sat on the edge of her small bed, her body sore and bruised from the beating.

She tended to her injuries with trembling hands, resentment simmering beneath her carefully composed face.

"Boss Su... acting all high and mighty," she muttered under her breath. "Giving me one more chance as if she's some benevolent ruler. Just wait, someday, I'll make her regret this."

Her mind wandered to the cold, disdainful stares of the other tenants.

Every time she crossed paths with someone, they either ignored her entirely or muttered insults under their breath.

It was suffocating. Su Yun decided that she needed a new plan—a new target to climb her way back to comfort.

The next day, after some rest, Su Yun felt significantly better.
