He looked down at Su Jiyai, his expression thoughtful, yet there was a flash of something darker in his eyes.

Su Jiyai, perched on the bed, kept her gaze steady. She had to know the truth.

Lin Hao sighed and leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms over his chest. He remained silent for a long moment as if weighing his words carefully. Su Jiyai's tail flicked impatiently as she watched him.

"Qin Feng and I…" Lin Hao began slowly, "We are very close. Closer than you can imagine."

Su Jiyai's ears perked up. However, Lin Hao turned silent before changing the subject,

"Is there anything more you want to ask?"

Lin Hao kissed Su Jiyai's head. Su Jiyai moved away her head in disgust, however she was feeling conflicted.

The truth was...she had another question in her mind.

She wanted to ask: Are you my brother? Are you biologically related to me?
