Chapter 239: What's The Point if They Are Dead?

Night stared at the newest male to enter his space and cocked his head to the side. It was unlike anything that he had ever seen before and seemed to blend into the shadows just as well as he did. 

Tilting his head to the other side, he watched the male studying him back. Approving his lack of a challenge, Night walked closer to the thing that only had four legs. Letting out an inquisitive chirp, he heard a low rumble in reply.

Pumpkin. The male's name was Pumpkin. 

Night nodded his head as he had seen his female do several times. Turning around, he started to walk away. As expected, the creature followed him but seemed to be unable to walk properly. It seemed to hop on its two back legs, using the front two more of a means of balance than anything else. 

Was it injured? It was useless to protect the female if it was damaged.
