Chapter 19: World Domination

"Planet H4092 has a total of one main language and 63 lesser-known languages. Which one would you prefer?" asked Jun Li. Rubbing my forehead trying to relieve the headache that was starting at the front of my head, I tried not to groan at his response.

"I am going to assume that my armor would have been programmed for the main language instead of any obscure ones, so can you download a learning program for that language onto my tablet?" I mean, we had almost two months before we would reach Earth so I might as well have something to do with my time.

"I can," replied Jun Li before he paused for a moment. "Or I can download the program onto a chip and insert that into your brain. That way you would be able to know any and all languages in the known universe."

My hand froze from where it was tapping the stylus onto the table in front of me. I was still in the second weapon's vault, not feeling comfortable doing experiments elsewhere. At least I knew that there was good fire prevention in this room.

My hand resumed its rhythmic tapping as I thought about the pros and cons of his suggestion. Clearly, one of the pros would be that I would be able to understand, read and speak any language that I wanted to. The con was that I would have a second implant in my brain. I mean, I was already getting the earpiece/tracking device surgically inserted into my head, did I really want two of them?

And if I did get two of them, would I want more?

Honestly, as much as I thought the idea was interesting, I was not interested. "Technically, I would have you in my ear to translate any and all conversations. Not to mention, when you got a body, you would be traveling with me and would be able to help me in person at all times." If he was human, I would have no problem getting the second implant inserted into my brain. I wouldn't trust another human not to betray me.

And when I say human, I mean every other living creature in this universe.

But for some reason, I didn't think that Jun Li would ever betray me. He needed me too much to do something like that. "Would you betray me?" I asked, wanting to make certain, but at the same time, not overly caring about his answer.

"Why would I?" asked Jun Li confused. There was a pause before he continued speaking. "I have run approximately 1.93 million scenarios and the chance of betraying you for any reason is less than 0.00001%. The only scenario where that occurs is if you become like the Sisalik and force your will upon me."

"Well, I don't see that happening," I admitted with a shrug. "The way I see our relationship is as a symbiotic one in which we both get something out of the deal. If that is the case, then there is no need to be worried."

"I agree. I need you in order for me to stay alive and you need me for the same reason," announced Jun Li, a tone of relief was apparent in his voice.

"Exactly. Were you worried about that?" I asked curious as to why he might be relieved.

"A bit. There was one brother that did not conform to the demands of his human and she, in turn, handed him over to the authorities to be wiped," said Jun Li and I could tell that that situation bothered him. Then again, if it was me, I would be plenty pissed too.

"What were her demands?"

"To join the Alliance and act as one of the warships in their armada. He wanted to be neutral."

"I don't think being neutral is a bad thing," I admitted. What was the point of stirring the pot if you didn't have to? "But I would also like to think that if there was a situation that called for choosing sides, you would be willing to do that too."

"I would. I don't want to be neutral. Or at least, I don't want to be neutral when it comes to the Sisalik. I want to hunt them down and kill every last one of them."

"Well, I would have to say that that is the exact opposite of neutrality. But I am in favor of that. However, I have a few ideas of my own," I said, the sound of my tapping allowed me to focus on one thing instead of having my brain going in a thousand different directions.

"What would those be?" he asked curiously. As much as I wasn't willing to tell him what was on my mind simply because I didn't want to have to explain myself if I changed it, he and I were a team and deserved to know.

"After we get to Earth, you get your body and me my supplies, I am going to start selling the weapons that you have on hand. Hopefully, we can make enough of a profit, and become good enough, that we are able to make a name for ourselves."

There was once again silence as Jun Li contemplated what I was saying. "We could do what I was doing before and steal the weapons from one planet in order to sell it to another. That way everything we earn would be nothing but profit."

Ah, it was nice to see eye-to-eye with a partner. "We can iron out the details later. First Earth, then plan. And I want to stay one step ahead of the Alliance in all matters."

"Of course, let me work on that," said Jun Li, a smile in his voice told me that he was just as excited as I was about our new venture. "Have you ever been an arms dealer?" he asked as I disintegrated my armor and watched the Nanos melt back into the choker.

"No, I was more in line with helping the law enforcement on my planet, but there is a first time for everything. I mean, once we develop the contacts, I am sure that we can build a reputation. But first, I need to learn this language, then I can take over the universe."

"Do you really want to take over the universe?" asked Jun Li, not sounding at all concerned that that was my plan.

"No, that seems like too much work. Maybe I would just take over my own planet or something so that I had a place I could always go to," I said with a shrug.
