Chapter 211: Will you love me, Fengming?

Mei Xin's heart rapidly beat against her chest. A hue of red formed on her cheeks and spread to her ears. She kept her eyes down, feeling the fuzziness inside her. 

"There's a fair going on in the market. Do you wish to go out with me?" Fengming suddenly asked her. 

Mei Xin met his gaze again, looking at him in bewilderment. "How can we go outside?" she queried. 

"By foot," Fengming replied. 

"No, I mean, people will gossip," Mei Xin asserted. 

"Let's handle the gossip," Fengming answered. "But I'm sure mostly will be mesmerized to see you," he added. 

Mei Xin didn't expect such a sudden compliment. Did he find her beautiful too? She didn't have the courage to ask it. "Aren't you tired from the work?" she inquired. 

"Not much," Fengming said.
