Chapter 9: Demon
"Sir, the Defender of Sullivan is nearly, 3 more hours." The guy looked annoyed, "I do not care put this base on lockdown, do not open a single door unless we find whatever stole the body or the body."
Sirens started to blare as every exit became sealed with 20 inches of reinforced tungsten. The hallways were the only place open along with the hall as the Principal spoke over the intercom, "There is a security breach. There may be demons in the base. Be on high alert!"
John was in the main hall as the base forces started to mobilise. The Starchildren stood there confused and shocked at what was happening. A guy left the toilet, he was tall around 6'3, with broad shoulders and a muscular frame walked out. He was black with black hair.
He walked down the hall with pace after he heard the announcements. He wasn't familiar with the layout of the base so he got lost in the building. Most lights went out. "What's going on?" A brunette girl asked. She was looking at one of the guards for an answer.
He remained calm as chatter broke out amongst the children, "When the base goes on lockdown most of the power is cut so it makes whatever is in the base harder to find any of you." He pulled out night vision goggles as he finished and put them over his eyes.
He then yelled as the girl moved back to her seat at the front. Guys were trying to leave so whatever was in the base wouldn't catch them in there. "Do not think about leaving the HALL!" The guy smiled as his face started to melt and distort into a skull with tendrils popping out of its face.
Its tongue fell out of its mouth. The teeth started to become razor-sharp like a chainsaw as they started to become larger. The thing's eyes become black. It had spikes all over and bent legs. It grew to the size of a double-decker bus. It picked up a girl as the guards started firing at the thing. It ate the girl without chewing. It just swallowed.
