Chapter 49: Don't Worry, Buddy!

Noa remained seated, his gaze fixed on Eden's slumbering figure. Hours had passed with little movement from Noa, as he anxiously awaited any indication that his friend would recover.

A faint groan emanated from the hospital bed, jolting Noa out of his reverie. His heart raced as he leaned closer, observing intently as Eden's eyelids flickered open.

"Hey, Noa," Eden whispered, his voice feeble but still audible.

"Eden," Noa exhaled, a wave of relief flooding over him. "You're awake. How do you feel? Are you alright, man?"

Eden appeared disoriented and sluggish, but he managed to weakly nod. "A bit sore, but I think I'm okay. Where am I?"

"You're in the hospital. I've been waiting for you to wake up," Noa replied.

Eden surveyed the room, attempting to comprehend his surroundings. "Hospital? I shouldn't be here, you know. It's risky without legal data," he mumbled, attempting to rise before wincing in pain.
