Chapter 31: A NEW HORIZON

When the next day dawned, Coraa was already dressed and gearing up to go. Her previous night's visitor hadn't lingered beyond the arrival of the morning sun's rays. It was like the early morning light seemed to disperse the energy of the shadowy figures. There were scarcely any to be seen in those wee hours of the morning until after the midday hours. Coraa had noticed she could spot the shadows if she tried hard enough to look for them in dark alcoves untouched by light during the morning hours. But the shadows grew stronger in presence after High noon and continued to do so until late in the night when they were almost akin to real tangible living beings. She had actually noticed some of the shadows walking out and about the school grounds while staring out of her window at the setting sun.
