Chapter 133: Gem

CAT 

I awake to the rays of the sun against my face. It feels beautiful, I could lie here all day. 

I had a strange dream last night. I dreamed it was my wedding day and before my husband and I could even celebrate our union, I was kidnapped by a monster who injured my husband. 

It's so ridiculous. Who even dreams up stuff like that? 

But when I stretch my limbs and sit up in bed, I realize this is not my bed. Even when reality starts to sink in, it takes forever for me to believe that what I thought was a dream is in fact what happened yesterday. 

I walked down the aisle with Will and married him, but I am not on a honeymoon with him. 

Instead, I'm in a strange villa on what feels like a mountain top. Through my window, there's nothing in my vicinity but endless trees underneath a blue sky. I love calm places but this doesn't give me any peace. I want to go home!
