I blink a few times in disbelief, thinking maybe this is just a bad dream and I will jolt awake if I blink again. This can't be real, right? 

There's no way my father just told me to seduce someone. That's not something a father would say. Angelo Rossi may have hated me for years after learning my true identity but even he wouldn't say something like this to me. 

"Why would I do that?" I feign ignorance. 

Okay, I'll admit, I'm still clinging to a tiny strand of hope that he will explain himself and what I heard will turn out to be a misunderstanding. 

Since when did I ever have such luck? 

He picks up his wine for a small sip before he seriously says, "Do you know who the real power behind the De Santi syndicate is?" 

I think about his question. Will is the don. If the real power is not supposed to be obvious, then… "Alma?"
