Once Beatrix had arrived near the carriage, she was greeted with the strong bloody smell that came from the nearby dead bodies so she couldn't help but cover her mouth and nose with her hand. "Urk.."
A light surrounded her body all of a sudden once she started to have a negative reaction to the nearby dead bodies which had stopped her from vomiting.
There were several weapons that were attached to the bodies so Beatrix felt that the number one priority was to arm herself well enough to be able to survive.
The weapon that the system had given her was just a starter weapon that would only be suitable for the earlier levels so the quality was very low.
As she got closer to the nearest body that was laid near the carriage, Beatrix had bent over to move the body a little before pulling at the straps to free up the belts and weapons that were attached to them.
Just being close to and touching the dead body was enough to let her be unsettled and feeling unwell but that had been washed away by the strange light.
Each time that it had happened, the previous discomfort had been washed away and she returned to a calm state.
The sword that was in its sheath had been removed from the body before being attached to her waist.
Beatrix kneeled over the dead body for a moment but heard a little movement nearby. 'Hmm.. it must not be dead. Good.'
Once she was back up on her feet, the sword was unsheathed slowly and was pointed in front of her as she stepped forward carefully.
One of the human bodies had another figure laying there which belonged to a small green creature that was a goblin. "Kik."
It sensed the presence of Beatrix and turned over its injured body to glare towards her.
It had a murderous look in its eyes as it tried to reach towards her.
The sword was held facing downward and once Beatrix had got close enough to the goblin that was laid there, she brought the sword down onto it.
"Kiik!" The goblin let out a small shriek and flailed around in pain before it had stopped moving.
There was a small sound that only Beatrix could hear which had alerted her of its demise and the rewards that had been given to her in the form of experience.
With there no longer being any signs of life around her and only the dead, Beatrix had stayed in place for a moment and opened her mouth.
The pleasant voice that started to sing was not too loud to draw the attention of those further away but it was enough for the bodies near her to be affected by her song.
There were the deaths of the young master, his escorts and the goblin that had been within the range of her Death Song so the souls connected to their bodies started to be soothed once she had started to sing.
"Won't you die tonight for love
Baby join me in death
Won't you die
Baby join me in death
Won't you die tonight for love
Baby join me in death
This world is a cruel place
And we're here only to lose
So before live tears us apart let
Death bless me with you
Won't you die tonight for love
Baby join me in death
Won't you die
Baby join me in death
Won't you die tonight for love
Baby join me in death~…"
Beatrix had picked out another song that had been on one of her playlists which was by HIM, there was a gloomy feeling that spread out as she continued to sing and was able to replicate the sound perfectly.
The emotions and tone of the song had been perfectly captured and was put on display for nobody to see but the souls around her.
The souls that were attached to the dead bodies had been loosened from their mortal coil and started to be released.
Once they had been freed from the body, they floated around the body of Beatrix until they had faded completely which had showed they had passed on to the next life.
Nobody was able to see such a scene but it had been sensed by Beatrix who was far more sensitive to death and the supernatural.
It was like the souls of the departed had been soothed and had a pleasant departure as they no longer had any lingering attachments to the world.
Three of the five people had been sent off by her while one had went away and another had died much further away out of the range of her Death Song.
The additional kill and body that had been affected by her Death Song was the goblin so the amount of souls she had sent off were four leaving only one that was further away.
Once Beatrix had completed the task and had heard the system giving out her rewards once again, she headed towards the carriage and opened the door before stepping inside.
The system menu had appeared before her eyes which had shown her current progress.

The souls that Beatrix had sent off had caused her to level up once again and further allow her to gain more experience.
At least two of the souls were a higher quality which had contributed to more experience that had been gained so they had come from the adults that were slightly more powerful than the young master in the carriage or the goblin.
There was a clear difference in the amount of experience that had been rewarded based on the quality of the soul that had been soothed.
Upon seeing her progress, Beatrix was glad to see that she was able to level up once again and was getting closer to the next level. "Not bad."
She looked over the supplies inside the carriage but there was only a change of clothes and some other things that were the young masters belongings.
There was a coin purse that had been taken away and the clothes had been ripped up a little so that Beatrix could wrap them around the top of her head.
Once her ears had been covered a little more, she let out a sigh of relief. 'No matter what type of world this is.. I cannot see my race being one that would be accepted by the masses. This should be enough for now but I need an alternative for my looks.'
No matter how she looked at herself, she knew that her body type had been an undead but a lot of her features had resembled an elf too.
Depending on the type of world that she was in, if her race was mistaken or discovered then it was likely that she would be chased away or be taken advantage of.
The best that she could do in the present was to hide her pointed ears which would stand out the most out of all of her features.
Once Beatrix was ready to leave, she had stepped down from the carriage and continued on her way down the road while encountering herbs to pick and places where souls required her to use her Death Song.
The more that she had continued further down the road, the more that Beatrix had gained experience and skill points.
Some random souls that she had come across had given a much larger amount of experience which helped to further increase her level.
The amount of dead souls that were lingering along that road was very surprising to her but Beatrix did not waste a single one.
