A small blanket was over her shoulders, which Princess Evangeline had placed before retiring for the night.

Not far from the sleeping girl, a fat chubby black cat also lay asleep, mumbling about the things it ate for dinner.

Behind the young lady was a man who seemed to be in his early thirties, sleeping while leaning on the wall, arms crossed over his chest. His short white hair glowed faintly as it reflected the sunlight that passed through the window of the library.

“… Where?” Chloe scanned her surroundings before remembering where she was. “Oh, right. I’m in the library of the Royal Palace.”
