Chapter 40: TOGETHER

"Together"

"Let's do it together!"

Claire says squeezing my hand while smiling at me and blinking repeatedly. 

"What do we do, I don't think I'm qualified to work in the palace."

I say to Claire while slowly pushing away her hands from mine and moving backward slowly. 

"Why won't you be qualified?"

"You're the daughter of a well-known noble man and you're quite smart!"

"Why do you think you aren't qualified?!"

Claire says moving closer to me and holding my hand again. 

"I don't think working in the palace for any amount of time is something for me and besides..."

"I want to stay out of trouble as much as possible and I have a feeling that going to the palace will definitely get me in trouble."

I say to Claire now trying to exit the balcony but she stops one more time, she runs in front of me this time.
