"Umm Master ... we don't need to buy new clothes ... as I can make clothes too" Lillia says that nervously while picking up her courage to look straight at me.
I look at her Purple eyes and I could see her determination of wanting to prove herself to me.
"So what does the Master Tailor Job need? And what all can you make?" I ask her curiously.
Lillia takes a moment to think before answering, "Currently, I can make normal tunics from thread and woollen clothes from wool. I haven't attempted working with silk or leather yet ..." She says the last part awkwardly.
Continuing the discussion, I ask, "How many garments do you think you could produce? And what about designs? Would you be capable of making anything I envision?"
Lillia seems a bit downcast as she replies, "If I had a design to follow, I could certainly make adjustments. But so far, I have only been able to craft a single piece both in the morning and in the evening."
Sherry, ever supportive, chimes in, "Your Job is just like my Master Smith, so it makes sense that you have to create equipments twice a day in the start. Don't worry Lillia, you will definitely improve over time."
Roxanne joins in, encouraging her, "Indeed, and with Master guiding you, your skills will grow rapidly."
"Sherry-san, Roxanne-san … " Lillia looks at both of them in gratitude.
"Hmm that brings me to an important topic, Labyrinth exploration" I say while looking towards Anastasia and Lillia, "Now that you know that your Jobs also has levels and Labyrinth is the shortest route to increase it, what are your thoughts on it?"
I didn't direct this question towards Miria because she would gladly go to Labyrinth for some fish.
With the question hanging in the air, Anastasia appears thoughtful, while Lillia looks at me and asks, "Master, what do you think?"
I speak candidly, "I would like both of you to accompany us into the Labyrinth"
"Because of Levels?" Anastasia asks curiously.
I nod, explaining further, "Levels are crucial, but I also want all my companions to be capable and strong."
Lillia speaks to me thoughtfully,"Master Tailor are not highly sought out, because our output is very poor as all we can do or make can be done by other people on their own without requiring a specific Job ... I-I always thought that to be normal as our skills were only valued when intricate work was needed, especially for Noble houses. But now I realize that it was the result of my Sheepkin tribe not delving into Labyrinths!"
Lillia lets out a wry smile as she continues, "Sheepkin people tend to avoid violence, and we venture into Labyrinths only once or twice during our youth. That's likely why our levels were always low and our productivity limited."
She then turns her gaze to me, her eyes full of conviction, "Master, if you permit, I-I would like to explore the Labyrinth with you. Increasing my levels will enable me to create more clothes for you!"
"You are welcome to join us" I smile happily at her and then look towards Anastasia.
"I would like to join too" Anastasia replies with a sweet smile on her lips, "But I am very delicate so I ask Master to not push me too much" She says a bit timidly.
I raise an eyebrow, "Sure you don't have to worry, we are only exploring on the lower floors so you won't be pushed beyond your limits." I reassure her.
"Ah, we don't have sufficient equipment for all three of them, so a visit to the Weapon and Armour shop is in order," I vocalise my thoughts.
Lillia speaks up in concern, "Master, there's really no need to spend so much on us." Anastasia's expression also display a mix of worry, probably driven by her upcoming Labyrinth exploration.
After Miria heard the translated version from Roxanne she joins in, "(Master, I am fine with just having fish!)"
I just shake my head and look at Roxanne, getting my message she speaks up, "Proper Equipment is necessary when you are going to Labyrinth, if you are feeling distressed then serve Master better in order to repay him" Roxanne starts educating them properly.
I smile wryly as that was not what I meant.
"What kind of weapon do you all want?" I ask all three of them.
"I am comfortable with a sword" Lillia replies promptly.
Meanwhile Roxanne was discussing with Miria, while Anastasia remains silent.
I hear Miria saying something about using a spear to catch a fish and I couldn't help but chuckle at her fish-centric thinking.
Roxanne asks my opinion after some discussion with her, "If Miria will be at the frontline, she could use a double-handed sword, or a shield and a one-handed sword. But, if she will be in the middle section, a spear might work better."
"I would like to have a spear then" Anastasia seems to not want to be in the front.
I nod at Anastasia accepting her choice and then address Roxanne, "Hmm then just like you, lets give Miria a sword and a shield"
I remember how in the original story Miria used to copy Roxanne's style, and from the looks of it she will be doing the same this time.
I hand an extra steel rapier and an extra steel sword to Miria and Lillia, but I still needed an extra steel spear and also I needed to buy extra armour for them all, as the only other equipment they have on were the Steel boots.
"Regarding Jobs, I understand that Anastasia and Lillia are content with their current Jobs. But Miria, do you want to change your Job? as your current Job Diver is not that helpful right now" I ask Miria who replies after hearing Roxanne's translation.
"(After you become Diver, the Guild contracts you to keep the Diver Job for at least 10 years and it won't be changed)" Miria states and Roxanne translates for others so they understand.
In the Party Job settings, I try to change her Job to Villager and just like in the story I wasn't able to change it. As I closed my system window and used Appraisal on her, it showed Pirate as her Job.
I opened the Party Job Setting again and made Warrior as her Job, which I was able to do without any problem.
I think it's like this: if you have Thief or Pirate as a Job then you won't be able to keep being a normal Villager. So if you are a Villager and you stole something then your Job automatically changes to Thief and you won't be able to change it to a Villager again.
I don't know if you can remove the Thief or Pirate Job, like if you pay your fine or you carry out your sentence or you get pardoned by the King, would you still have the Thief Job?
Obviously I myself have no such problem as I am able to keep Villager as my first Job freely.
"The rules of the Guild contract doesn't apply to me, so I have changed your Job to Warrior right now" I explain to her with a smile, "Tell me if you want to change it to something else"
After Roxanne translates it to Miria she looks at me with stars in her eyes,"(Master Powerful!)"
"(Yes, Nothing is Impossible for Master)" Roxanne chimes in happily. Even Sherry and everyone else were looking at me in awe. It seems that Guild contracts were seen as unbreakable here, so my ability to bypass them left quite an impression.
After freshening up and changing our clothes to the Labyrinth ones, we Warped back to the Imperial Capital. It was already afternoon right now.
We went straight towards the Clothes shop where we bought our clothes last time. The saleslady recognised our group instantly and helped the girls select their clothes.
Lillia's eyes sparkled with delight as she marvelled at the variety of clothes on display. Miria, on the other hand, seemed uninterested, picking whatever Roxanne handed her.
Anastasia carried herself with the grace of a refined lady, swiftly choosing the regular clothes and then spending considerable time perusing the silk garments.
I wasn't paying much attention as in the end I just bought whatever they wanted, I even bought an extra pair of underwear for Sherry and Roxanne, as I remembered how hot they looked in it.
After paying the bill we left the shop.
"Master could become the perfect Merchant" Anastasia comments with a cute smile.
"You are right, it's almost surreal when it happens," Sherry chimes in, seemingly relieved to have found a normal person who shares her perspective on my unexpected merchant prowess.
Lillia and Miria on the other hand seem to be closer to Roxanne. It was mainly because they were all Beastkin and Lillia could also understand Burner Language so it was easier for them to communicate.
We then Warped to the Quratar's Explorer Guild from the Imperial Capital's Adventurer Guild.
First stop was the Weapon shop. The Weapon merchant also recognized me instantly so he brought us to the inner room where we selected weapons for the three new members.
After I bought all the weapons with empty slots that I could find and giving Anastasia her own steel spear, we visit the Armour merchant next.
There I similarly bought all the Steel Equipment for them and a round Steel Shield for Miria. Just like the previous store, I also bought extra steel Equipments which had three empty slots.
As we had more people this time we were easily able to carry all the extra equipment out of the shop after paying.
Going into a nearby alley we stuffed all the Equipment into the Explorer's Backpack.
"Fish" As soon as we get out of the alley Miria speaks aloud looking in a direction.
If I remember correctly there was a fishmonger somewhere near here, it is impressive how she was able to smell it from afar and how she has already started using Brahim language.
"Alright let's buy some fish then" I chuckle and decide to go in that direction.
Roxanne reprimands Miria when she tries to skip ahead of me in excitement.
We reach the fishmonger and I let Miria choose whatever she wanted. If Roxanne wouldn't have controlled her then she would have jumped on me in happiness.
Although Quratar was inland and quite far from the sea, there was a fish demon on the 17th floor of the Labyrinth and so this fishmonger had all the fish drops from that floor to sell.
There were three different types of fishes on display with even a very large fish.
[White fish]
[Whole fish]
All the three different types of fishes were only called white fish in my Appraisal whereas the big fish was named as Whole fish.
Seeing Miria just present a single white fish to me to buy, I understood that she must be feeling shy and apprehensive.
Understanding her feelings, I smile warmly and buy three of each type of fish along with three whole fish. Miria's cheeks turns a shade of red, and she gazes at me as if captivated.
With our fish supply secured, we move on to purchase the daily necessities for the new members. After that, I activated my Warp ability, transporting us to the 5th floor of the Vale Labyrinth. where we had previously left off our exploration.
"Ready?" I ask our party members, mostly addressing the new additions.
Miria stands prepared donned in her new Chainmail with a rapier and shield in her hand. Anastasia was also armed up with a spear in her hand and was standing close to me.
Lillia, who had chosen to wear a forehead protector as her horns were in the way of wearing a Steel helmet, was also gripping a two handed sword standing beside Sherry.
They all nod in affirmation, so I look towards Roxanne, "Lead the way then"
