"Welcome, everyone, to Knowhere. Hello, Madame Gamora, I am Karina, the servant of my master. I will take you to meet my master."
After waiting for a while, Star-Lord and his group finally got the chance to meet this mysterious buyer.
"By the way, where's Drax? Has anyone seen him?" Star-Lord, who was about to follow the maid and leave, noticed that Drax had disappeared from their group.
"Who knows, maybe he's gone off somewhere and lost track of time. Let's not worry about him. He's only interested in how to kill Ronan and doesn't care about the 4 billion credits. Let's just go in, complete the transaction, and get out."
Rocket shrugged, clearly unaware of Drax's whereabouts. He just wanted to get the money and be done with it.
"I am Groot!" Groot, the tree-like being, also shook his head, indicating that he hadn't seen Drax either.
"Let me remind you all, when we meet the buyer, we need to ensure that he won't misuse the Cosmic Orb and has the ability to keep it safe. Only then can the deal be finalized." Rocket received a reality check from Baymax.
Gamora nodded and suggested, "Baymax is right. If the Cosmic Orb is really an extremely dangerous weapon, we need to consider this carefully. But for now, let's follow this maid inside. It wouldn't be polite to keep the buyer waiting. Once everything is settled, we can come back and find Drax."
Star-Lord agreed, "Exactly, Drax is not a child. He doesn't need constant supervision. Let him relax and blow off some steam. We'll go in and meet the buyer first."
Following the maid through a dim and narrow passage, the group arrived in a room filled with glass display cases. It was evident that these were the buyer's collections. As Gamora had previously described, this person had a liking for collecting all kinds of rare and peculiar treasures.
From technological gadgets to ancient artworks, from artistic sculptures to various living beings, the collection in this room was diverse but extremely rare.
It could be said that if anyone else were to attempt to collect these items, they would need to traverse the entire galaxy and possess a considerable amount of luck to successfully gather them all.
"Dear guests, we own the largest collection museum in the entire galaxy, with animals, relics, and various specimens. And now, I proudly present to you my master, the collector, Taneleer Tivan!"
As the maid introduced, everyone's attention turned to the man standing behind her, dressed in a rather alternative and extravagant manner.
He wore splendid clothes, draped with a white fur coat made from some unknown creature. His hair was an unnaturally pure white, and even his eyebrows and beard shared the same color, while his eyes were lightly adorned with eye makeup, giving him an air of elegance, grandeur, and a hint of melancholy.
"Oh, my dear Gamora, I finally get to see you!" The collector, Taneleer Tivan, greeted Gamora with a somewhat exaggerated hand-kiss gesture as she was led into the room by the maid.
However, Gamora didn't appreciate the gesture and withdrew her hand, saying, "We traveled a long way, crossing half the galaxy to get here. Let's get straight to the point. We brought what you wanted, but before we proceed, we need to... What are you looking at? Can you please listen to me seriously!"
Seeing the collector's distracted gaze wandering elsewhere, Gamora, eager to obtain more information, became quite annoyed.
"Oh, my apologies, dear Gamora. I was just fascinated by those two behind you. Can you introduce them to me? The tree-like being and the armored inflatable robot. I'm willing to offer a price in advance to buy their corpses after their demise..."
Hearing the collector's insane idea, both Star-Lord and Rocket became displeased. After all, Baymax and Groot were their most important companions, not commodities to be traded.
"Although I don't know what you want their corpses for, I'm afraid this deal won't happen," Star-Lord directly refused the collector's offer.
Rocket nodded beside him, agreeing with his statement. While he loved money, he had his limits, and he would never betray his companions, especially considering how Groot had saved him multiple times.
"Well, that's a pity!" The collector shook his head helplessly. "They are both unique beings, one from the Flora Colossus species, and the other is a remarkable example of emerging artificial intelligence. They are truly precious existences, and it's hard to resist the temptation..."
"Alright, Tivan. We traversed half the galaxy to obtain this Cosmic Orb, and now we need you to tell us why you want it and what exactly it is. Based on your answer, we will decide whether the transaction can proceed," Star-Lord demanded.
With a mysterious smile, the collector said, "Since you want to know, follow me. I'll show you what the most dazzling Stone in the entire universe looks like."
Led by the collector, the group arrived at a workbench. "Place the Cosmic Orb on it," the collector said, looking at them.
Star-Lord and Gamora exchanged glances, then placed the Cosmic Orb that Baymax had given them on the workbench.
Soon, as if sensing the presence of the Cosmic Orb, the mechanical device on the workbench started functioning, and the collector began his explanation.
"My new friends, listen carefully. Before the birth of the universe, there were six singularities within the chaos. After the Big Bang, while the universe was formed, these six singularities survived and condensed into six Stones possessing incredible powers—the Infinity Stones."
As the collector explained, he also projected images of the six Infinity Stones in front of everyone.
Upon seeing the stones featured on the Tesseract and Loki's scepter, Baymax knew his earlier speculation was undoubtedly correct. These stones had the same origin, and the Cosmic Orb was indeed a formidable weapon.
Soon, as the collector's explanation progressed, Baymax's speculations were thoroughly confirmed.
"These stones possess immensely powerful forces, and only immensely powerful beings can control this power. Watch closely—by harnessing the power of these stones, these mighty beings can wipe out an entire civilization in an instant, merely by placing the stone on the ground."
Once again, the collector showed a shocking scene where a being with an Infinity Stone effortlessly annihilated a civilization.
"I feel like I'm about to wet myself..." Star-Lord couldn't believe that Baymax's guess was true, and the truth was even more brutal than they imagined.
"There was once an organization that successfully shared the power of the stones, but they eventually suffered the backlash of that power and were utterly destroyed... Oh, look—the Cosmic Orb has been opened, and inside is that beautiful, unparalleled Infinity Stone!"
The purple stone shone brilliantly, its dazzling radiance momentarily making everyone forget its terrifying power to obliterate planets. But at this moment, a pair of eyes full of greed were fixated on the Infinity Stone atop the workbench...
