Chapter 55: The Important Moment

Edna nodded. "Thank you, Isabelle. Thanks too, Luca."

"No need to mention it. Rest well."

Luca adjusted Edna's blanket, and Isabelle brought back the girl's uneaten porridge. The two of them stood in front of the door and let out a long sigh simultaneously.

Per Maximillian's wishes, they postponed their departure for a few days until Edna fully recovered.

With Luca and Isabelle taking turns caring for her, Edna was able to recover in three days. During those three days, Edna considered her decision again.

Luca and Isabelle also try to change Edna's decision. They wanted the girl to come with them.

"Okay, Eden. Let me tell you one secret that really shouldn't be talked about," Isabelle said.

Edna listened intently.

"If you come with us. More precisely, come with me back to my home, you will get a better job. I guarantee it. I guarantee your pay will be much higher than your previous job. You know… the real me… the real me…" Isabelle sounded hesitant to say it.
