Chapter 38: Leaving The Hut

The door of the hut opened, and Maximillian arrived with a flushed face.

"How is the child?" asked Maximillian, making Luca startled a bit.

Luca turned to Eden, then shook his head. "Still unconscious, My Lord," he replied.

Luca observed his master intently. He was momentarily taken aback because the first thing the man asked was his servant's condition. Until something made him realize.

"My Lord! You are injured!" Luca shouted frantically.

"This is nothing, just a stab of a dagger from a human. It will heal by itself."

Luca bit his lip. He wanted to offer to treat his master's wound, but they had nothing here. Besides, they, dragons, were blessed with longevity, much longer than humans. They could live tens of times the age of ordinary humans.

However, that did not make them immune to anything. They could also get hurt like other creatures. Poison would still kill them, and their heads could also be cut off.
