/ Eastern / I Don't Want to Get Hurt, So I'll Max Out My Defense
Synopsis
Soaking in lava, sleeping in an Ancient Killing Formation;
Traversing alternative worlds in a heavy armored vehicle;
Riding a Gundam Sentinel and slaying immortals with Godzilla...
I got myself a stat system, and from then on, I only beefed up my defense!
I just can't help it, I'm afraid of pain! The Daluo Golden Immortals of other worlds are all really fierce, and all of them know super ultimate move with infinite power. They have little meetings every day to discuss how to break through my defense.
I really don't know why they're so obsessed...XD

Write a reviewThe plot becomes so repetitive that it becomes tedious and predictable to read, I am in chapter 504 and he is building another bathhouse and after that is going to be another round of mobs getting surprised and young master's and heads of the family looking for trouble (this already happened like 5 times in the novel). The Mc is just a salted fish and doesn't really actively looks for ways to get stronger because he thinks that he is already strong enough so he just goes with the flow. The defense points stopped being meaningful in the story now they are more like XP points and the Mc only gets stronger when he reaches the next level . So my recommendation is that you turn half of your brain off and read the story by inercia.
Interesting concept and has a comedic vibe to the story. Recommend to read if you're looking for a novel to spend time.
The MC, at times, is a bit of a shameless con artist. 🤭 I don't typically read books with a scoundrel as the MC, but I find myself amused, rather than annoyed, with him most of the time. As others have noted, due to his current path, he tends to deliberately push other's anger buttons at times. As I write this, the first 59 chapters are unlocked and free to read. 😃 Also, the grammar is mostly good, with, so far, only a few instances of incorrect gender and that's in the latter, most recently released, chapters. I have no idea about the updating stability, as I read all of the unlocked chapters this week. 😁
loved this story. especially since it lasted so long without putting up a pay wall. nearly 400 chapters without having to pay for them. Sadly it seems the webnovel crew has wised up to how valuable this novel was.
I really like this one... A chill and fun read... The best was it was free to read... But since its just got locked on ch 401, i will just have it stock pile and read it on the one day all unlock day. All good things must come to and end but regardless it was epic while it lasted, author / translation needs to keep a living.
A fun story with an interesting premise, but starting around chapter 65, incomplete chapters that only have teasers for the chapter start appearing making the later parts of the story unreadable due to the missing content
I have officially read up to chapter 765 and will now be DROPPING this work. I would of dropped it 200 chapters before but I still held hope that the repetitive nature of the novel would change with the new arc at chapter 700+. It's still the SAME! The author keeps doing the same thing at every single arc. I just physically can't invest anymore time into this, the repetitiveness drove me crazy. I'm done, waste of time!
The numbers don't add up. I've been carefully counting and the attributes points don't match at all. Sometimes he gets 100 attribute points and then he add them all to defense only for it to increase by 60.
The concept is good but the story building is not interesting. It is not an indulging story where every part becomes exciting.
[This review is based on Trial Read Standards] While i say this, this novel could become one of my favourites the characters, relationships, comedy, flow, and overall reading enjoyment is probably one of the best Ive read. Im not even exaggerating, as someone who doesnt enjoy cringy comedy, this novel handle comedy that I find perfect. The MC could be seen as annoying but he gets stronger by taking damage so he intentionally annoys people to get points for self-development. The other major characters are also well developed (mostly) and I can see the aurther developing them better in the future with them all showing potential. The world is well developed and logically explained within the genre, although the reasoning of the strength with his senior brothers and sisters isnt explained much but hints have been revealed that will allow MC to grow within the world in a reasonable way. Honestly, if you are wondering to read this or not, give it a go! If you dont enjoy the type of humour, you wont like the novel. Straight up. Thank you for reading the review, would have done it better but I didnt read this all at once so some of the early stuff isnt remembered but I know I enjoyed it a lot. You are okay to disagree with my opinion :)
