Chapter 7: Chapter 7: Burying his family and the system makes a move
"Hey, have you found the bodies of my parents? I want to give them a proper funeral before I do anything else" Henry asked
Eloise face became very pale when he heard Henry's question. She opened her mouth and said
"You are telling me about the body that I bought here. They're your parents?"Elosie asked him with a serious look on her face.
Henry nodded his head in approval. He opened his mouth and then he said
"Yes, the two people that you have found are likely to be my parents since they weren't anyone other than my family.
Of course, they were cultivators but you should be able to recognize them if you see them since you are a cultivator.
Also, why did you say your body can't recognize their gender?"Henry asked with a frown on his face.
Elosie didn't say anything else, she looked directly at Henry's eyes.
"It's good if you see for yourself. Also, you shouldn't make your brother see this since he is young"Elosie will say to him with a serious look on her face.
He nodded his head and got up.
"Follow me," Elosie said to him.
He just nodded his head and he began to follow her.
They continued to walk for sometime. As they walked Henry saw a staircase in the house that was leading to an underground place.
He didn't say anything, he just kept following her. The staircase is completely devoid of any sound.
It is so silent, the echoes of their footsteps could be heard.
A moment later they arrived in front of a door.
The door is really big and cold air came out from the gaps in the gate. The air was really cold.
It wasn't enough to freeze someone who isn't a cultivator in a few hours.
This cold air also had the capability to freeze Henry. However, since he is a cultivator, will took a few days to do so.
"We are here, I am going to open the door but whatever you see don't freak out," Elosie said to him
Henry nodded his head calmly but he knew that something is wrong or else Elosie won't say this to him.
She took out the keys.She started to unlock the doors at an unpredictable speed. A moment later the locks fell to the ground.
It produced a loud sound.
"Thud thud"The sound resounded through the entire place.
A creaking sound resounded through the entire place as she slowly opened the door.
Henry began to walk inside and he saw that they are two beds inside. There was two individuals lying there.
"These are the two bodies that I think could be your parents.
One of them is a mortal and another one is at the early stage of the Basic Qi realm based on the lingering spiritual energy on their body."Elosie said to him with a serious look on her face.
Henry just nodded his head and then he walked close to them and putted his hand on both of their feet.
In order to sense any similarities with the spiritual energy of his parents.Then he nodded his head slightly.
"They are indeed my parents," Henry said with a solemn look on his face.
He began to slowly pull the sheet from their faces. A moment later the sheet would be moved.
When he saw their face and body. He froze in his tracks. For the next few minutes, only the sound of water dripping from somewhere could be heard.
Elosie just sighed and walked towards him. As she walks, the sound of water dripping became even louder.
She got closer, as she got closer, she saw tears constantly flowing down his two eyes. She expected something like this and then she will say.
"It's not your fault for the condition of their body and face. It's no one's fault"Elosie said to him as he looked at the faces of the two individuals lying there.
Their faces are completely burned. Their faces are so burnt that their faces wasn't even recognizable.
Even Henry, their son, weren't able to recognize them.
Their hands and chest area were so burnt that the skin in that area had turned black.
Elosie said it's not his fault it's just an accident. However, he knew that he is partially responsible for this.
"I am responsible for this. I think when I was fighting against the leader of the cultivator whole flames engulfed my body and surrounding.
At that moment the flame must have burned them.
They have taken care of me so much in this life yet this is how I repay them"Henry thought to himself.
He kept crying for an hour before he became normal once again. After becoming normal he knew that he had to give them a proper funeral and bury them.
So he did so and he didn't bring his brother with him because he doesn't want him to see this condition of his parents.
He buried them and then he returned to his room.
He was so depressed for the next few days that he didn't even study the system in detail.
Weeks would have passed by.
However, after a week or two later, he had became normal once again. It's because he knows that he had to do a lot of things.
It's because of a single goal that he has yet to fulfill.
"I must take revenge for him family. This shall be my life goal from now on" Henry exclaimed all of a sudden, his face was showing different emotions like fear, rage, and helplessness
However, he wanted to take a few days off before he started his journey. Then one day, dozens of notifications started to appear on his retina.
He knew it's the system. It has remained silent until now, he doesn't know why it has remained silent up until now.
It might be that it has stayed silent until now because it senses his mind isn't in the right state, allowing for his mind to recover. This is, of course, speculative.

"I can't remain idle any more," Henry says as he looks at the lines of text in his retina.
