Chapter 103: Mapping Chp 96

"Master, this place..." Begins Saber as we watch the atrocities performed
Undead walk through the streets
Monsters made from flesh stumble around
"You don't have to stay here if you don't want to," I offer her and she looks at me gratefully accepting my offer as I send her back to Chaldea
Shaking my head, I slowly levitate from the roof of the building
Focusing a bit, I quickly find some people hiding in a small apartment complex
I order some of Connor's...army to go retrieve them
("Connor how much longer?") I ask him as he maps out the coordinates from this world
("It will take a few days,") He says sounding a bit frustrated
("Whatever, this Alexander did, messed up with some things. I need to alter some of the programs so that I can map the coordinates correctly,") He answers
("Alright,") I say hiding my annoyance a bit
I try to sense around and while I am still filled with disgust over what happened there is a considerable amount of lifeforce underground
Most likely where the biggest piles of flesh
I turn my sight toward the egg that I was given by Toki-toki...
#FLASHBACK START#
"So, what will I do once it hatches?" I ask Percy who is translating Toki-toki's words to me
"He says that he knows you can do magic and that if you truly want, you can make the hatchling into your familiar. If you want to," Says Percy for Toki-toki
"Hmm," I let out considering it
"Familiar bonds are rather special, even I don't have a familiar," Connor butts in
"Do you even need one?" I ask him and he turns away whistling
I shake my head and look at the egg while feeding it God Ki
"A familiar is a beneficial mutualistic magical partner. Both sides benefit immensely. For example, Toki-toki is a type of bird that is heavily intertwined with the [Divine Law Of Time], and by extension, I am going to assume that the offspring will also inherit this divine aspect, through the familiar bond, someone can gain access to this power to some extent," Percy begins explaining it
"I know a bit about the familiar bonds, but I never really went too deeply into that particular field of magic," I say while sending a bit more God Ki into the egg
"A familiar bond is a very private thing, I won't pry or try to convince you, but it would definitely help you in the long run," Says Percy as I nod at him

I let out a sigh as those memories played out in my head again
I am going to do it
I am very far behind Connor and Percy when it comes to [Divine Authorities]
I may have Zalama's staff but that thing is acting like a crutch for me at the moment
if I manage to obtain [Time Authority] through the familiar bond or even just an affinity towards Temporal Magic in general, it would be a huge boon
Now I just have to wait until the bird hatches
("I am going back,") I tell Percy and Connor as they both ignore me
Going back to Chaldea, I make a note to check up on Vomi and Towa
Going over to check on Saber, I know where she is through our bond and I find her practicing her swordsmanship
I watch for a while as she practices and I have to admit, she is incredibly good with a sword
But, she is just so weak in comparison to me
"Master," She calls out dutifully
"Saber," I say in acknowledgment
"Is there something you need?" She asks me and I nod as I think about numerous ways to bring this conversation up
"I wanted to ask how you feel," I say to which she looks at me for a moment before sighing while I materialize a box of her favorite cookies
"I know that you are feeling inadequate, weak, and useless," I say bluntly to which she winces and nods while sighing
"Saber, my enemies are far above what you, or anyone in your world that I know of, are capable of dealing with, so don't feel bad about not being strong enough to help me fight against them," I say while she comes and grabs the cookie box and begins to much on them
"Look, what I am trying to say is that I am thankful for your help. I appreciate the way that you defended me while we were working our way through the Singularities, you being my servant helped me preserve energy, which gave way for me to come over here fully. Believe it or not, you are a major reason as to why we managed to come out triumphant in this whole mess," I say to which she turns to me while I stare at her green eyes
"I am quite happy that you accepted our contract which is why..." I say while bringing out a small sketch of what I have been working with Connor for a day now
"Connor and I thought of this," I say showing her a paper of several avenues to make her stronger
She looks at me confused out of her mind while staring at the paper
"They are just some ideas that Connor and I came up with to make you stronger," I explain while rubbing the back of my neck
"First, we are going to get you a body similar to that of a Demi-servant," I say while raising my hand to stop Saber from saying anything about her taking over someone else's body
"Let me elaborate, you will take over your own body with that of your servant self, thereby allowing you to have your Dragon Core active without relying on a massive influx of magical energy to jumpstart it and risk damaging your spirit origin," I tell her while I begin to say that we will practically take her body from Avalon and basically merge both
"With this, you will be able to train to get stronger than ever before, and keep in mind that if you are not comfortable with this, the next avenue is altering your Spirit Origin and enhancing the amount of magical energy it can take, thereby allowing you even greater reserves of magical energy," I say while I bring out a very small piece of Nth metal
"We can also improve your armor by mixing it with this metal, which I will explain the properties of later as they are a lot, or we just make you new armor. We can also improve your weapons or give you new ones if you want," I say
Connor and I barely put much thought as these are avenues which are very basic
"Keep in mind that at the end of the day it's your choice," I say seriously as I don't want to force her into anything
"Master...I don't know what to say," She says with a conflicted look on her face
"Think about it, I know that you might be..."
"I accept all of it," She cuts me off which makes me blink as she smiles
"Really?"
"Yes, really," she repeats
"Well, ok then..."
