Chapter 59: Chapter 58

On the lakeside,

In one part of the lake, there was a red area created by Kardama's own pool of blood. And his unmoving body was floating in the middle of it.

Kenny was crushed beside a tree, with one of his hands broken, suffering to stand up.

In between two of them, Az, or something that once was Az, is now covered in a completely black substance. His figure didn't look like something that could be called a human any longer.

The last person, Lucas, was nowhere to be seen. 

The silence was shattered by the haunting voice of the black figure that Az had become.

"Why? Why? Why?" it repeated, the words echoing with an eerie intensity.

Struggling to stand, Kenny finally managed to rise to his feet. As he did, the figure fixed its gaze on him and unleashed a piercing cry.

"Was I not good enough?!" it shouted.
