Chapter 18: Thunderous Confrontation: Zhang Lee's last stand

The fight had grown increasingly intense, leaving both Zhang Lee and Slasher gasping for breath. Slasher, who believed he held the upper hand, assumed a fighting stance, swinging his double-bladed staff with a show of fury. Zhang Lee, fully aware of Slasher's intentions, cautiously stepped back, preparing himself for the impending onslaught.

Suddenly, Slasher initiated a rapid series of movements, circling Zhang Lee at such a blinding speed that he became nearly invisible. "Today, there will be a winner, and a loser!" Zhang Lee muttered under his breath. From behind, Slasher aimed a swift strike at Zhang Lee's shoulder with his sword. Zhang Lee, already in a heightened state of alertness, sensed the impending danger but struggled to pinpoint its direction. He narrowly dodged the blade, but it grazed his clothing and left a bruise on the extreme edge of his shoulder.
