Chapter 58: Earthbound Gargoyles

Adam crouched down, carefully digging out the fiery rose from the soil, ensuring its roots were intact. As he grasped the flower and was about to store it away in his spatial storage, an overwhelming sense of danger washed over him.

"Adam, Watch out!" Sarah yelled.

Instinctively, he reacted to Sarah's warning and rolled backward just in time, securing the rose in his storage as he did so.

With some distance between them, Adam's eyes locked onto the source of the threat – the once-inanimate statue had sprung to life and lunged at him with its menacing claws. The creature bore a grotesque humanoid appearance adorned with horns, sharp fangs, and lethal talons, reminding him of gargoyle statues he had seen on older buildings or movies. He quickly scanned the creature to gather whatever information he could.
