Issei forced a fake laugh, trying to hide the turmoil inside him. "Haha, yeah, it's quite a crazy situation."

His mind was reeling with anger and concern for Great Red. He couldn't fathom why Ophis would want to challenge someone as kind and powerful as his mentor. He clenched his fists, trying to control his emotions as he asked Vali about Ophis' intentions.

Vali sighed, realizing that Issei wouldn't let go of the topic easily. "Alright, I'll tell you what I know. Ophis is gathering powerful dragons and allies to confront Great Red and reclaim the Dimensional Rift. She seems determined to challenge him, but the specific reasons behind her actions, you'll have to ask her yourself."

Issei's blood boiled with rage, and he thought to himself, 'How dare she threaten Aniki? I won't let her harm him or anyone else in the Dimensional Rift.'

Attempting to keep his composure, Issei replied, "I see. It's just hard for me to understand why she's doing this. Great Red has been nothing but good to us, and he's not causing any harm to anyone."

Vali nodded, seemingly lost in thoughts of a grand battle. "You have a point there, Issei. Great Red is undeniably the strongest being in the universe. It would be an epic showdown if they were to clash. Imagine the glory of defeating such a powerful opponent!"

Issei's concern deepened, and he couldn't fathom Vali's excitement over the idea of battling Great Red. 'He's just as obsessed with power and battles as always,' Issei thought to himself.

"But what if Aniki doesn't want to fight? What if he's content where he is, and he doesn't want to be disturbed?" Issei questioned, his voice filled with worry.

Vali shrugged indifferently. "That's something you'll have to discuss with Ophis. She's the one leading this mission, and her goals might be different from ours. But as a powerful Dragon Emperor, it's understandable that she seeks worthy adversaries."

"She's going down if she messes with Red," Issei thought furiously.

Issei's blood boiled with fury at the thought of anyone daring to cross paths with Red. His mind raced with thoughts of retribution against this mysterious foe, but Ddraig, the voice of reason within him, reminded him of the sheer power possessed by Ophis. Despite the temptation to challenge her, Issei knew he might be outmatched.

"That's a dangerous path, Issei. Taking on Ophis directly is unwise," Ddraig warned firmly.

"Maybe so, but her little army is fair game. Red needs to know about this, and I'll make sure they pay," Issei thought, clenching his fists.

"Red's reaction could be unpredictable. He might find it amusing, or he might unleash his wrath upon the world," Ddraig speculated.

While Issei contemplated his next move, a message notification interrupted his thoughts, and he glanced at his phone, curious about the sender.

Vali, sensing the distraction, looked over his shoulder, inquisitive about the message.

[Issei! Why haven't you replied to me today?! Are you mad at me?] the message from Serafall was filled with crying and sad emojis.

With a heavy heart, Issei decided not to respond. "It's best not to involve innocent friends like Serafall in my personal troubles," he thought.

Vali, ever the observer, questioned him about the sender. Issei brushed it off, labeling Serafall as just a friend.

"Hmm, seems like you have quite a few 'friends' in your life," Vali teased with a sly smile.

Issei shrugged nonchalantly, "I guess you could say that."

Vali continued playfully, "So, have you found a 'best friend' yet?"

Before Issei could reply, a devil gracefully landed before them, capturing their attention.

Both Issei and Vali were taken aback to see a silvery grey-haired woman with braided hair, dressed in an intriguing maid-like outfit. As she cautiously observed them, she retracted her wings, appearing cautious but not hostile.

"Ah, so you must be Vali," the woman inquired, her tone composed despite Vali's rudeness. "We were kind of in the middle of a conversation here," Vali retorted bluntly, not appreciating the interruption.

Undeterred, the woman glanced between Vali and Issei before explaining the purpose of her appearance. "You're trespassing in Gremory devil territory. We would like to know your intentions. If they are reasonable, then we shall allow your continued stay."

Vali's insolent attitude persisted as she questioned the woman's identity. "My name is Grayfia Lucifuge... I speak on behalf of the Gremory household," she replied calmly.

Vali, seemingly unfazed, made a snide remark. "Lucifuge, huh? How nice of you to come all the way up here just to talk to me."

Inquiring about Vali's devil clan, Grayfia's serious expression suggested she might already be aware of the answer. Vali, with a nonchalant air, teased, "Wouldn't you like to know."

Grayfia sighed, her patience showing some strain. "Just know this... the Underworld is well aware of you and Tiamat being here. We don't know what your intentions are, but we will retaliate accordingly if you do anything to threaten this town's safety."

Unperturbed by Grayfia's warning, Vali declared that she and Issei were leaving. She hopped on her motorcycle, signaling her departure, and Issei followed suit. As they drove away, Grayfia watched them, a sense of concern and vigilance in her gaze.

Overwhelmed by the situation, Issei contemplated the turmoil he had unwittingly become entangled in. "I should just transfer to Kyoto to finish high school. This just keeps getting worse. They don't even know I'm the Sekiryuutei yet, and I'm already wrapped up in this drama," Issei thought, feeling disbelief at the unfolding events.

After driving for a while, Vali decided to pull over. "You want to do anything else today?" she asked Issei.

"I kind of need to go check on the house for a while. Maybe tomorrow we can do something," Issei replied.

"Alright, well, I'll catch you later then, Issei," Vali waved before driving off in the opposite direction.
