Lucien knew very well that the fact that Ava could no longer feel Prince meant that he was dead. They must have killed him, and letting Ava rush in there would be a huge mistake. They would kill her too, just like they did Prince.

"Ava, Prince is gone! They will kill you too if you go in there!" Lucien yelled at her, dragging her along. She pulled her away, but Ava didn't stop fighting and struggling.
