Chapter 316: Preparations for the trial

Among the Nyxons, only one brave soul had ever dared to take part in the Trial of Death, but that was over a century ago. The conditions, however, had not changed even after all this time.

The Blind Deity had stripped Xander of his Bloodline Abilities to take away his sense of safety. She wanted him to know that there weren't going to be any second chances and that his mistakes would cost him dearly.

As Xander gave his word of assent, the Blind Deity lifted her left hand and turned around. She weaved her choppy white fingers through the air and opened a secret entrance hidden behind the wall on the other side.

"You may begin the trial by entering the forbidden doorway. On the other side of the passage, you will find a maze meant to both tempt and test you. Your goal will be to traverse the labyrinth and locate the Scales of Judgement. And once you have reached them, you will get your chance to overturn my decision if it was wrong."
