Chapter 309: A forbidden set

Having used most of his cards already, Xander was perfectly happy getting his hands on a new set. And what made things even better was the fact that this new set would replace his current one, allowing him to use these special cards immediately.

Unlike the Corrupted Cards available at the Altar of Corruption, the cards on offer at the Altar of Forbidden Knowledge were rare Nightmare Cards that would not disappear after a single use. 

This meant that Xander was looking at an additional ten cards being added to his storage deck, which would exceed his current storage capacity. So, before purchasing the new set, Xander decided to use his skill points for a final upgrade.

Accessing his skill tree, Xander selected the 'Card Collector' skill and used his two extra skill points to upgrade it.
