Chapter 305: The Shadow Guardian

The Domain of the Last Shadow was a realm of eternal darkness that swallowed all natural light. Even if one were to light a torch or set a whole forest on fire, the light would disappear within a fraction of a second, leaving behind only the invisible warmth.

However, the spell cast by the Elder Lich summoned a Spectral Ward, which emitted an ethereal glow that was able to cut through the darkness with ease. It was because the light that the ward radiated came from the specters trapped within it.

These ghastly apparitions emitted a light that could be perceived even from a mile away, and this light could neither dim nor brighten as long as the specters retained their magic.

Under the pale green glow of the Spectral Ward, the Elder Lich was able to scan the whole room. It looked like an underground burial chamber belonging to a long-lost era. 

There were burial urns scattered all across along with unlit candles and half-burnt incense sticks.
