Chapter 120: A fate worse than death

When Baroness Brinterfell had hired Renace, she had no clue he had ties to Shamura. Even the other mercenaries had little idea about his true motives. But now that his companions were out of the picture, Renace no longer needed to conceal his true identity.

The only reason Renace had agreed to join the scouting party was because he wanted to test his new cards and weapons. And when he learned about the involvement of Goblins, he decided he wasn't going to return empty-handed.

By fatally wounding the Goblin King with the corrupted spear, Renace had turned him over to his side. The thing standing before him wasn't the same Goblin King who was deftly commanding his troops a while back, but a re-animated corpse brought back to life by dark magic.

"You belong to me now. And I need you to serve and obey," Renace said, staring at the giant standing before him.
