Chapter 63: "Husband, I am tired,"

In a daze, Selena leaned against his shoulder while chewing. She was looking up at him with a look King Liam had never seen before in her eyes. They were filled with affection and her gaze lingered on him as though captivated by his presence. The corners of her lips tugged into a faint smile, her cheeks flushed a delicate shade of pink. After she swallowed, her pink tongue licked her lips, licking away the oil from the roast.

King Liam's gaze shifted from her eyes to her mouth and his Adam's apple rolled. Her lips were slightly parted, her breath warm and sweet. He had an overwhelming urge to kiss her but he could only wait. Wait for the right time as per their agreement.

Selena suddenly touched his chin and called out weakly. "Husband," the words rolled on her tongue with ease like she was used to calling him like that. It was hard to believe that he was the same person who was so shy and hesitant earlier.
