Valerie's POV

Last night was indeed splendid, but then the news of the possibility of his friend's death almost ruined it, but thankfully it didn't. After bidding goodnight to each other, I retired to my room and slumped on my bed. But then Sonia called me that instant, and what she told me wholly ruined my mood.

I know that she might be expecting me to yell at her or tell her the reasons why she's so stupid to have gone to Rex's apartment. I didn't do that because I already knew that she regretted her impulsive decision.

When she told me about Sam's proposal, I was happy for them. Because I have this soft spot for him because of his help the other time. But if I'm to think from a friend's perspective, I will be left with no other alternative but to conquer with my friend that it's rather too early for that.
