Chapter 87: CHAPTER 87

Meanwhile, beyond Earth's atmosphere,

In orbit 22,300 miles above the surface, a satellite larger than the International Space Station hung silently in space.

On the surface of the satellite, the letters "JL" were clearly visible.

In this universe, if you were an Earthling, you wouldn't be unfamiliar with this satellite.

It was the headquarters of the Justice League – the Watchtower.

In the central conference room, a round table was placed in the center, surrounded by seven chairs.

Four individuals were seated within.

The first, Superman, wearing blue Kryptonian battle armor and a red cape.

The second, Batman, donned in black Kevlar bulletproof armor.

The third, Victor Stone, with only half his head remaining human, the rest replaced by mechanical parts. He was also one of the senior members of the Teen Titans.

As for the fourth, he was a man wearing a green uniform, white gloves, and a mask. On his right hand's middle finger, a distinctive green ring was visible, bearing the same emblem as his uniform.

Green Lantern, Hal Jordan.

As for Wonder Woman, Aquaman, and the Flash, they were each occupied with their own matters.

Intelligence indicated Cheetah had appeared in New Mexico. Wonder Woman had been investigating for nearly two weeks, right around the time Starfire had just planned to rebuild the Titans.

Aquaman was handling an incident involving an unknown aquatic creature attacking people. As for the Flash... whether to mention it or not, they had almost grown accustomed to Barry's disappearances.

"Do you think it's a good idea to leave this matter to the kids?" Superman asked Batman, his brows showing a touch of concern.

"No, I never thought that way," Batman replied in his distinctive gravelly voice, shaking his head lightly.

"I don't think it's so bad," Green Lantern's tone was always slightly flippant but undeniably present, "Back when Nightwing and those youngsters formed the Teen Titans, weren't you worried just like this? Yet, the results proved that young people shouldn't be underestimated."

'Speaking of which, why wasn't there a Teen Lantern?' Hal asked himself slightly vexed.

"Perhaps you're right, Hal, but I always feel that it might be a bit too early for them to go independent," Superman's expression turned complex. When the Teen Titans were formed, he was concerned about Dick and his group, but his emotions back then weren't as strong as now, especially since Superboy hadn't appeared yet.

"They're different from us back then. I have confidence in them," Cyborg interjected, "When we established the first Titan Tower in New York, we didn't experience the tragedies the older generation did. Tim and the others might resonate more deeply with the weight of becoming heroes."

"At the time, guys like Gar, Donna, and Hank were more reckless compared to Connor and Cassie. Tim wasn't as rebellious as Dick back then, and as for Wally, I often find myself missing his former innocence."

Cyborg's face was filled with reminiscence. While being one of the Seven Giant Members of the Justice League was undoubtedly cool, as a college student in his twenties back then, he didn't have much in common with these older men in their thirties and forties.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have made such an "identity-losing" decision to join the Teen Titans. Despite being a few years older than Dick and the others, the generation gap wasn't too significant.

"Believe in the Titans. They can handle the situation in San Francisco. Moreover, Trevor entrusted Dick with this mission. If they really can't handle it, Dick will call us, and with the Boom Tube, we can be there in an instant..."

On the other side, along the coastline of San Francisco Bay.

Starfire rushed to the ground, her face filled with anxiety as she picked up Nightwing, checking his condition.

"Uh... Do you guys know each other?" Yuri asked in confusion, sensing that the relationship between these two was extraordinary.

"Dick! How could he be here?" Beast Boy landed on the ground and reverted to his human form, his expression equally shocked.

"He's Dick Grayson, the original Robin, Batman's first teenage sidekick," Superboy landed beside Yuri, explaining to him.

"In a way, the Teen Titans belong to Nightwing, because he's the founder of this organization... Oh, right, Starfire was also Nightwing's girlfriend."

"Was?" Yuri keenly caught the point, "So, they broke up? Then why is Starfire acting so... concerned?"

'I thought with Starfire's personality, she would hold a grudge against a man she broke up with for a lifetime.'

Yuri scrutinized Nightwing carefully, suddenly realizing that something wasn't quite right.

He had just checked Nightwing's condition. If his estimate wasn't too far off, Nightwing's height should be above 1.76 meters, but definitely less than 1.8 meters.

However, Starfire's height was definitely a solid 1.9 meters and above!

Could it be possible that their breakup wasn't due to emotional issues?

"In fact, I don't know if they've broken up or not, just not sure if Nightwing's current girlfriend is still Starfire."

After Superboy finished explaining the basic information about Nightwing to Yuri, he walked over to Robin and spoke with his back to Yuri.

What on earth?

Yuri recognized each word of Superboy's sentence, but when combined, why did it suddenly sound confusing? Yuri's inner thought was that the world of relationships was truly chaotic.

On one side, Starfire and Beast Boy gathered around Nightwing, while on the other side, Superboy looked after Robin.

No one paid any attention to the unconscious Deathstroke lying on the ground, nor did anyone care about the mysterious girl lying unconscious by the sea.

Although Yuri could understand this feeling to some extent, given that their friends had been knocked down, it was quite normal to temporarily forget other things.

However, Yuri sincerely believed that finishing the main task first was more important. Being too impulsive didn't make one look like a capable leader, did it?

So, Yuri walked straight to the seaside, studying this mysterious girl closely related to demons.

Hmm... classic signs of exhaustion, no immediate danger to her life, and no obvious injuries on her body.

Let's start by recording the basic information.

"Name unknown, female, appearance mostly similar to Earth humans, most likely human in race, height less than 1.7 meters, age around sixteen, measurements..."

Just as Yuri was recording all the basic details with a rigorous attitude and was about to try waking the girl up:

"Ugh, ahhhhhh!"

A piercing scream suddenly erupted, and this "piercing" was meant quite literally.

Yuri genuinely felt a strong sensation of pain in his eardrums and instinctively covered his ears with his hands.

Turning around, he saw Superboy suddenly flying into the sky, his face contorted, eyes bloodshot, wildly throwing punches into the air, all while screaming loudly.
