Chapter 102: Sacrifice

"Cerviel!" I screamed the former deity's name as I struggled to remain on the moving creature beneath me, my heart pounding with worry. Cerviel ignored my plea as she turned back to the form of her lover, the darkness embracing her fully as I watched her disappear into Trorith's monstrous form. For a moment, the Creator stopped in their rage, and I took the chance to firmly plant my feet, closing my eyes as I tried to focus. 

I knew the calm would only be temporary, the Creator distracted by Cerviel's presence within their shared body with Trorith. I felt my body markings start to grow warm again as the red flame flickered around me, but I could also feel the strain on my body. I no longer had the strength to fully use the Prime, and I doubted I would even be able to stay conscious much longer if I kept attempting to fix the Seal on the Creator. I had to trust that whatever Cerviel was hoping to do would help Trorith and hope my strength would last.
