It was a tough decision for Dexter.

If he came out at this point, Elliana would know he was following her, and it might put an unfilled ditch in their friendship, which was the last thing he wanted to happen. 

And if he didn't come out and dashed on the other side to save his life, the wolves will think of him as an intruder and might kill him. 

There are no rules of protection or trials or second chances when it comes to trespassing a territory and then running like a coward. 

Everything was confusing right now. 

What was Elliana doing here in the sunflower field among the wolves? Why did she wear such a strong scent? Why was she covering her face in a way that only a part of her eyes was visible? What was her deal with them? Why were these wolves even listening to a mere human?
