Chapter 63: Chapter Sixty-Two

As Jayden, Lola, and Selina finished their meal at the buffet, they walked back to their room, feeling satisfied and ready for some relaxation.

But unfortunately, before they could do that something had come up.

The ship's announcement for the safety procedures caught their attention, and they realized it was important to familiarize themselves with the safety measures on board.

They made their way to the designated area and joined the other passengers for the 30-minute introduction.

As they sat through the safety briefing, Jayden made sure to memorize as much of it as he could.

Meanwhile, Lola's eyes wandered, her mind already planning out which bars and cocktails she would indulge in during the cruise.

She nudged Selina and whispered, "Just imagine all the amazing drinks we'll be sipping while soaking up the sun!"

Selina chuckled, enjoying Lola's enthusiasm.

"I can already picture it," she replied, a mischievous twinkle in her eyes.

Jayden chimed in.

"I'm sure the ship's bartenders won't know what hit them with you around." Jayden Joked.

Lola playfully elbowed Jayden.

"You know it! But hey, it's all part of the experience, right? Plus, I'll make sure to bring my own signature drink recipes to keep things interesting."

With laughter and excitement filling the air, they returned to their room after the safety briefing.

Unpacking their belongings, they chatted about the upcoming days and all the sights they were looking forward to seeing.

They realized the ship had already set sail towards their first destination, Rome.

The normal speed of a cruise ship such as this would be between 21 and 23 miles per hour, and considering that Rome was around 400 miles from where they were, it would take at least 20 hours to get there.

...

Once they finished unpacking, the girls wasted no time embracing the sunny weather. They changed into their swimsuits and headed to the deck to soak up the sun.

Selina and Lola stepped out onto the sun deck, feeling the warmth of the sun on their skin and the gentle breeze in the air.

The deck was bustling with fellow passengers, some lounging on sunbeds, others taking a refreshing dip in the pool.

They found a spot to settle down, strategically positioning their loungers to catch the perfect amount of sunlight.

Selina reclined on her lounger, adjusting her sunglasses and feeling the rays of the sun embrace her. She closed her eyes, letting the soothing ambience wash over her.

"Ah, this feels amazing," she said, a blissful smile on her face. "Just what we needed to unwind and recharge."

Lola settled onto her own lounger, glancing around and admiring the view.

"Absolutely," she replied, a sense of contentment in her voice.

"There's something magical about being out here in the open sea, away from the noise and chaos of the city. It's pure bliss."

Selina stretched out on a sunbed, feeling the warmth of the sun on her skin. Closing her eyes and enjoying the gentle breeze. "I could get used to this."

Lola settled into the lounger next to Selina, adjusting her sunglasses and letting out a contented sigh.

"Absolutely. It's the perfect time to relax, soak up some vitamin D, and let go of all our worries. We deserve this getaway."

Selina nodded, her voice filled with appreciation.

"You're right. It's moments like these that I forget how hectic our lives really are in Gotham." She said while stretching her back.

Some of the men who were eyeing the two gulped while admiring them. Lola nodded but then turned to her friend. " So how are the preparations going along for that," Lola asked cryptically.

Selina gave her the okay sigh." Don't worry, everything is all sorted out, no need to worry." Selina said and Lola nodded.

In a few days, it will have officially been around five months since they had all met and two months of dating.

Time flew by so quickly and all that was left of their agreement was a single month. But Selina nor Lola wanted to think about it and instead cherish the moments they spent with Jayden.

He had always been by their side supporting them in every way he could, so they wanted to do something special for him as well.

'Sigh, I just pray nothing goes wrong to ruin it.' Lola thought before resting her body on the lounge chair.

Selina who was relaxing suddenly got a text, looking at who it was that texted her, she smiled before turning to Lola.

"They're here..."

.....

As the girls relaxed, Jayden remained in the room, deciding to make a quick phone call to Alfred.

He dialled Alfred's number, hoping for a casual check-in about Raven's well-being. The call connected, and he could hear Alfred's voice on the other end.

"Alfred, how's everything going? How's Raven?" Jayden inquired, his voice filled with concern.

Alfred's voice came through, slightly muffled by background noise. "Ah, Jayden, all is well here. Raven has been keeping me on my toes, exploring every nook and cranny of Wayne Manor."

Before Jayden could respond, the phone line erupted with commotion. A dog barking and a young boy's voice filled the air, a sense of chaos apparent.

"ACE GET BACK HERE, SHE IS NOT A CHEW TOY..."

Jayden's heart skipped a beat as worry crept in. "Alfred, what's happening? Is everything okay?"

The call abruptly ended, leaving Jayden with a mix of concern and confusion.

He sighed, hoping that Raven hadn't caused too much trouble and that Alfred would be able to handle the situation.

With a lingering sense of unease, he decided to trust in Alfred's capabilities and focus on enjoying the cruise with Selina and Lola.

Meanwhile, as Selina and Lola had just made their way through the corridor to the sun deck, an elevator dinged behind them.

Two stunning women stepped out, catching the attention of those around them.

Both Selina and Lola were unaware that Ivy and Harley had booked a room right next to theirs, intending to reveal themselves at the perfect moment.

As they walked down the corridor, they couldn't help but notice the two men lugging their bags behind them, trying to keep up with the women's brisk pace.

Harley, with her vibrant energy, nudged Ivy playfully. "Ivy, can you feel the excitement in the air? This cruise is going to be one wild trip!"

Ivy smirked, her gaze scanning the surroundings." Maybe, I'll definitely have to check out their garden at some point, I heard they have some rare flowers onboard."

Ivy and Harley stepped into their room, accompanied by the two helpful men who had assisted them with their luggage.

The men, clearly smitten by the girls' presence, were on the verge of charming conversation when Harley, in her signature unpredictable fashion, energetically swung the door shut, oblivious to their romantic attempts.

The men stood outside, slightly bewildered, as the door closed with an unexpected finality.

Inside the room, Harley's eyes widened with excitement as she took in the opulent surroundings. "Wow, Red, would ya look at this place? It's fancier than any hideout we've ever had!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with childlike enthusiasm.

Ivy chuckled softly and glanced around the room. "Yes, Harley, it is quite impressive. Just remember, we're here to relax and enjoy ourselves. No, causing chaos or breaking things, okay?"

Harley playfully pouted, a mischievous twinkle in her eyes. "Aw, come on, Red! You know me better than that! But no promises," she replied, her voice dripping with mischief.

Ivy rolled her eyes, knowing that keeping Harley out of trouble would be a challenge. "Well, just try to be on your best behaviour. We don't want any unnecessary attention or trouble during our vacation."

While Harley continued her exploration of the room, Ivy began to unpack her belongings, carefully placing her clothes in the closet and organizing her toiletries in the bathroom.

As she neatly arranged her things, she couldn't help but overhear the sounds of Harley's antics.

"Oops!" came Harley's voice from behind a muffled crash. Ivy sighed, bracing herself for the inevitable. "Harley, what did you break this time?" she called out, her tone a mix of exasperation and amusement.

A sheepish chuckle followed as Harley emerged from behind the bed, concealing the remnants of a broken vase. "Just a little accident, Red. But don't worry, I've hidden the evidence. No one will ever know!" she proclaimed with a mischievous grin.

Ivy shook her head, a small smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "Harley, sometimes I wonder how I manage to tolerate your antics. Just remember, we're guests here, and we dont want to break any of Lola's rules."

With a wink and a playful salute, Harley replied, "Got it, Red! No more breaking stuff. Promise!"

After finishing her unpacking, Ivy decided it was time to change into her swimsuit and join Selina and Lola on the sun deck. She bid Harley farewell, advising her to explore responsibly and meet them there later.

As Ivy made her way to the sun deck, she couldn't help but admire the breathtaking view of the vast ocean stretching out before her. The sun cast a warm glow, inviting her to relax and unwind.

Arriving at the sun deck, Ivy spotted Selina reclining in a lounge chair, the epitome of elegance and grace.

Next to her, Lola sat on a sunbed, sipping a fruity cocktail and basking in the sun's rays. Ivy settled down in a vacant chair and greeted her friends with a warm smile.

"Looks like we've found paradise," Ivy remarked, her emerald eyes gleaming with contentment.

Selina chuckled, adjusting her sunglasses. "Indeed, it's nice of you to finally make it. How was the car ride here."

"Uneventful, though I did get to see some cute men on the way here." She said while taking off her jacket.

The men who were sitting around and admiring Selina and Lola were shocked when another bombshell of a woman appeared.

'Best.Cruise.Ever..." Was what they all thought.

Lola raised her glass in agreement. "Cheers to that! No crime-fighting, no drama. Just sun, relaxation, and good company."

As they settled into a comfortable rhythm, the trio engaged in lively conversation, sharing stories and laughter.

"By the way, where is this famous new boyfriend of yours, he must be something if he was able to steal you away from Batman." Ivy suddenly said and Selina couldn't help but feel a little miffed at that comment.

Lola answered instead." He's in our cabin at the moment, he didn't want to join us and instead walk around for a bit."

"I see, I can't wait to meet him then," Ivy said in a teasing tone.

Selina brought her shades down and looked at Ivy." Just a heads up, you try anything on him and I'll scratch your eyes out..."

"Haha, looks like Mr boyfriend hasn't clipped your claws yet Selina, that's good, I thought you would have gone soft by now." Ivy laghed as she didn't take the threat seriously.

....

As Harley finished changing into her Jean shorts and crop top, she applied a vibrant shade of red lipstick, adding a touch of her signature style.

She tied her hair into a high ponytail and looked at herself in the mirror, pleased with her appearance.

With a mischievous smile, she decided to explore the ship for a while before meeting up with the rest of the girls.

As Harley opened her room door, she was met with a surprising sight – the door on the opposite side swung open as well, revealing Jayden standing in the doorway.

Their eyes widened in shock as they locked gazes. "Harley?" Jayden exclaimed, disbelief and surprise evident in his voice.

Harley's face broke into a wide grin. "Jayden!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with excitement.

In a split second, she dashed towards him, her energy propelling her forward.

Without warning, she launched herself at him, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck and causing him to stumble backwards. The force of her hug knocked Jayden off balance, and they both tumbled to the ground, with Harley ending up sitting on Jayden's stomach.

Jayden gasped for breath, his eyes wide with surprise. "Harley, what... how...?" he stammered, trying to make sense of the unexpected encounter.

Harley giggled, her infectious laughter filling the cabin. "Well, fancy meeting you here, Jayden! It's like destiny brought us together on this big ol' ship!" she exclaimed, her voice laced with excitement.

Jayden, still trying to process the situation, managed a smile despite the awkward position he found himself in.

"I never imagined our paths would cross like this, Harley. You certainly know how to make an entrance," he remarked, a hint of amusement in his voice.

Harley playfully tilted her head, a mischievous glint in her eyes.

'Wait if Harley is here...Lola invited two friends...that means...*Sigh* God I hope nothing bad happens.'

Jayden thought as Harley continued to sit on him.
