Chapter 48: 28

Despite the ruthlessness of Pedroko's regime, Xerope's betrayal was an unexpected blow to many. Xerope, who was previously the dictator's right hand man, had joined the revolted population and led them in the battle against the old regime. They managed to depose Pedroko, but nobody expected that Xerope would take control.

At first, Xerope promised to reform the country and build a just government, but over time, he proved to be just as ruthless as his predecessor. Despite having helped remove Pedroko from power, Xerope became a new dictator in Zombo, using cruel and repressive practices to maintain control of the country.

Meanwhile, Pedroko remained imprisoned in Zombo Prison, having to face the same oppression that he himself had imposed. The irony could not be greater.

This story is a warning about the dangers of power and the importance of fighting for freedom and justice. The quest for democracy and equality cannot be forgotten or betrayed, as history has shown that oppressors can emerge from anywhere.
