Chapter 39: To Kamar-Taj
The pleasant dreams passed quickly. The morning sunlight shone on Li Yue's face, waking him up from his deep slumber.
Li Yue sat up from the bed, stretched, and went to the bathroom to wash up. He picked up the phone after returning to his room, thought for a moment, and called Tony. Tony picked up his call almost immediately.
"Hey, Li Yue, are you coming over? I'll go upstairs when I'm done. Hey, Dummy, don't put that there! You are so stupid. If you make another mistake, I will donate you to MIT."
Li Yue rubbed his forehead helplessly. Tony was bullying Dummy again. Li Yue thought that Dummy was very cute, despite it not having any voice system.
"Tony, I won't be coming today. I'll have to disappear again for a while," Li Yue said to the phone.
"What? You're going to disappear again? Where are you going this time? That one-eyed bald man has been looking for you for months; he probably had a lot of questions. Why did you disappear without a word?" Tony's voice became louder when he heard Li Yue's words.
Tony couldn't understand why Li Yue would disappear again after just one night. He then remembered Nick Fury. Ever since he found out that his father was one of SHIELD's founders, his opinion of SHIELD changed a lot. He even cared about them now.
"Don't worry about SHIELD for now. It shouldn't be a big deal for them to find me. As for you, Tony, be careful when you go out. Don't get randomly beaten to death."
Li Yue thought of the villain of Iron Man 2, Ivan Vanko the Whiplash. He was a genius scientist who was comparable to Tony. He could also build an Arc Reactor out of a pile of scrap metal. Li Yue did not know when Ivan would take advantage of Tony's carelessness and launch a sneak attack.
"There's no way that would happen to me. I am the famous Iron Man; no bad guys would risk coming close to me. Also, I have my latest Mark armor. It's the size of a suitcase, and I can equip it quickly in case of emergency. I wanted to show it off to you today, but it can't be helped if you can't come. Anyway, you don't have to worry about my safety!"
Tony didn't particularly care about it, but he still took Li Yue's words to heart. He knew that Li Yue could predict the future; Li Yue must've seen someone targeting his life.
He should make Happy hold the box at all times when they're outside.
If Happy knew that Li Yue's reminder was the reason he would have to carry a suitcase everywhere, even to a bathroom, he probably wouldn't even know how to feel.
"In any case, pay more attention to yourself. Also, help me look after Louise. Call me if something big happens, though don't disturb me unless it's important. I'm going to practice magic."
Li Yue felt that there was nothing to hide from Tony. He would come into contact with Doctor Strange in the future anyway.
"What? Practice magic? You'd be better off saying that you're going to an alien planet! Oh well, I will ask someone to look after your little girlfriend. You can go to an alien planet or do shameful things with peace of mind! Bye..." Tony teased Li Yue one last time before hanging the phone up. He couldn't believe Li Yue's excuse, but he didn't ask any questions and simply agreed to Li Yue's request.
"Go fuck yourself."
Li Yue missed the chance to clap back before the busy tone came from his phone. He was left with nowhere to vent his anger.
"Just you see. I'll settle the score when you return."
For some reason, Tony's personality invited people who want to beat him to death.
After calming himself down, Li Yue used his computer to find photos of Kamar-Taj. He then turned the computer off and disappeared from his room.
Shortly after Li Yue teleported away, a series of knocks came from his door. After a few minutes without response, the door was automatically unlocked, and two men in black came in to check the room. They couldn't find Li Yue and reported as such through their phones. They left without any traces.
"Kamar-Taj? What kind of place is that? Why are you going there, Li Yue?" Nick Fury pondered from his office, far away in SHIELD's headquarters.

Li Yue reappeared in Kamar-Taj: an old building in the old streets of Kathmandu. Nobody would have guessed that the most powerful Sorcerer Supreme of Earth lived here.
Li Yue walked around on the street. Fortunately, he was not robbed like Doctor Strange. His legs were about to break after walking for hours when a man in a black hooded robe found him.
"Mr. Li Yue, I am Kaecilius, a follower of the esteemed Ancient One. Esteemed Ancient One has been waiting for you; please come with me!"
The hooded man faced Li Yue and took off his hood, revealing a very sunny face. Li Yue had a double-take when he heard the man's name. Wasn't this the villain of Doctor Strange? He certainly didn't look the part. He simply looked like a middle-aged sunny uncle.
"Master Kaecilius, please lead the way," Li Yue decided to say nothing. He simply smiled and nodded at Kaecilius.
...
They took countless turns along the way. Li Yue didn't know where he was anymore. Kaecilius, who was leading the way, finally stopped in front of a very ordinary door. He opened the door and invited Li Yue to go in first.
"Thank you!" Li Yue politely thanked him and walked in without hesitation.
Kaecilius looked around, watching for anyone who might follow them, before closing the door.
When Li Yue entered the building, he felt that his eyes were suddenly opened. The buildings also looked very old inside, but they exuded a mysterious aura.
"Mr. Li Yue, this way, please. Esteemed Ancient One has already prepared tea inside," Kaecilius politely interrupted Li Yue's thoughts and led Li Yue to a hall.
Li Yue followed Kaecilius into the hall. He was surprised to find the Sorcerer Supreme Ancient One, whom he had met yesterday, sitting in the middle of the hall. A pot of tea was brewing on the table in front of him.
Ancient One looked up at Li Yue. There was no surprise on her face, as if she had anticipated Li Yue's arrival. She nodded at Li Yue and invited him to sit opposite her.
"Mr. Li Yue, you really came."
Ancient One personally poured a cup of tea for Li Yue.
"Venerable Ancient One, please pardon my intrusion. I came here to learn how to control my energy from you. Please teach me, Venerable One," Li Yue said extremely respectfully. He was really afraid that he would be thrown out by Ancient One if he did not speak properly.
"Now, now. It's already late. Have some tea first. We can talk later."
Ancient One picked up her teacup and gestured to Li Yue.
Li Yue picked up the teacup in front of him and slowly drank it.
Li Yue didn't particularly like tea in the past, so he didn't know how to judge tea or what kind of tea was of high quality. However, after drinking the tea from Ancient One, he immediately knew that this was a good tea.
When the tea entered his mouth, he felt a sweet fragrance as if his soul had been washed. After drinking the tea, he felt refreshed, as if his body had become a little lighter.
"Let's talk about your ability!"
