Chapter 15: Cooler Saga 3
Vegeta landed on the planet a few days after he parted from earth. He spent most of the time training with the gravity machine while traveling.
When he was getting close to the planet, he could feel some Ki signatures from the planet. Although they weren't that strong in his perspective, there was one that scaled above the others. He assumed that to be either from Cooler or from someone of his forces.
He landed on the planet pretty easily. Different from the Saiyan pods that crashed on the planet, this ship landing was a lot more comfortable.
Vegeta got off of the ship. His objective now is to find Cooler. If he is not here, then find a way to or a clue that could lead to him. A simple plan. Vegeta took a look around him and was greeted by some vivid forest and a reddish sky. The planet was brimming with life still.
He was appreciating the view when he spotted a ship starting to approach his place. He immediately thought that it was Cooler forces. He was preparing to get some information from them if necessary. A bit of torture here and there and they always spill the beans. He was used to it, having conquered a lot of planets for Frieza before. This wasn't a new thing to him.
Though what he saw was only 1 ship with 2 people on it. They didn't have much ki, although they could be hiding their power like he was. The land was a bit far away, and Vegeta had to start to walk to meet them.
When he was closing, the tiny alien took his gun and pointed at him.
"Stop! Y-Y-You are wearing a Saiyan uniform, so you must be one, right? I'll let you know that you c-can't conquer this planet." The tiny alien was shaking a bit with fear while he was inside his ship.
Vegeta stopped and looked at him. He was indeed in his Saiyan gear, and he was in a Capsule Corp jacket too. It was open and had the Corp logo on the arms.
He almost forgot that most people see Saiyan with fear. A good tool for conquering as most people just surrender or flee with fear, he thought. But what truly occupied his thoughts was that for some reason he recognized this voice.
"Hmph....Jaco huh" Vegeta said while looking at him with his arms crossed. The fact that a Saiyan knew his name made Jaco even more frightening, but it also stroked his ego a little bit.
"Ehhh, Jaco, you know each other?''The woman, Tigths, asked with a tone that made it seem that she didn't know the danger of the situation.
Vegeta gave a good look at the woman. She looked a lot like Bulma and she knew a Galatic patrol member. It didn't take much time for Vegeta to put the pieces together.
"..Tights too, huh...What are you guys doing here.?'' The woman blinked a few times, she wasn't expecting to be recognized either.
So she decides to get out of the ship and walk to the man. Much to Jaco fear.
"W-wait Tights he is scary like that and you going to walk at him like it's normal?!!'' Jaco had a fearful voice. He knew about the Saiyan story. He started to think that he had run into bad luck again.
Think about it, not only does he encounter Cooler, but now a Saiyan too. And worse, a Saiyan that probably came from earth. So either Earth was destroyed or now it is sold. Anyway, he failed his mission from years ago then. A mission that said to not let the Saiyan land on Earth.
Now what should he do?
While Jaco was thinking, Tights came close to Vegeta and started to inspect him. She was curious how a Saiyan knew her name.
"Why are you using the clothes and the ship with dad's company logo? And I never saw you working there either. Although it's been a few years since I last visited.''
"And how do you know my name too? Ah, maybe you read some of my books?" She asked with an easy smile on her face while looking at him.
"Hmph, no. You have your sister and mother's faces, it's hardly an issue to figure out who you were."
She laughed a lit bit "I see, well that's true. I doubt you came here to take us off of the planet then. Can I know the reason?"
There was no fear or mistrust in her voice, she was only genuinely curious about him. She was inspecting everything about him, his face, body, clothes. It's like she was making a mental note about his appearance.
"I'm searching for someone, and also came here to train. I just took Bulma's spaceship to travel for a bit.''
Jaco was hearing everything inside his ship, refusing to come out "A note to myself to never hang around Bulma anymore. She has some scary friends."
When Tights was going to ask something else, some ships were seen approaching them from all places. It wasn't a great force, but most people from this planet would flee after seeing this number.
They sure were the Cooler forces this time.
"Shit..." Jaco made a troubled expression "We are surrounded."
From these ships some aliens from different races came out. Anyone could figure out that most of them were from different planets. But what gave away which force they belong to was the gear that they were using. It was a bit different from the Frieza's Force design. The difference only being the long pointed pauldron on one of the shoulders, and the color being purple and white.
They surrounded the 3 and what appeared to be the leader of them came close.
"I see..So it was a Saiyan that we saw coming to the planet...Say Saiyan, what's the reason for the visit? Depending on your answer, we may or may not welcome you here. Since it was your fault for landing without permission.''
Vegeta looked at the alien leader. He had a big head and a humanoid body with a purple color. Almost matching his gear. Observing them, Vegeta could see that they were only scouts.
Too weak and insignificant.
"Since when do I need to warn the likes of you? It's not your business what i came to do here.'' Vegeta said with a cold voice to them, there is no need to be civil here.
Tights went a lot closer to Vegeta noticing that things might get ugly. She wasn't afraid, as she was a bit used to conflict. But she can't fight either, so if something happens she can't help too much. So she chose to stay out of the way.
Jaco made his presence there as invisible as possible. He doesn't want to get in conflict with them right now and risk having his ship damaged by them.
Seeing that he was being underestimated, the leader became a bit angered. But first he turned on his scouter to gauge Vegeta's power. "Hehe I see, I see, a prince huh...Oww~ a prince with 1000 power, you really would be a monarch on every backwater planet that you find'' When he said this, the others scouts started to laugh at the joke.
Indeed, 1000 would be superior power on a backwater planet. But not here, and neither of these people had only 1000 battle power. They are already above it .
The laugh was cut when they could hear a girl's voice, though it was not directly at them.
"Oh right, I never asked your name. I need it for my reference", as if she didn't care about the situation. Tights just changed the topic out of nowhere.
''Vegeta. And this careless way will kill you one day, you know.'' He answered without too much care. It's not like it was a secret anyway.
Though for most people here besides Tights, the name itself gave the creeps to them. The leader and Jaco start to sweat and tremble a little bit.
They knew the name, and of course knew of the guy's exploits. A cruel saiyan who doesn't care nor mind to blow a planet to pieces and even kill his allies if he deemed them useless. Unfortunately, they never meet the guy. If they did, they would be so careless right now.
"V-Vegeta?!!!" Both of them screamed at the same time.
"Ah~ it seems you are already famous. What a shame I was hoping to make you soar in fame after writing a book about you", Tights said with a disappointing face. Vegeta, on the other hand, looked at her and thought that this family was definitely weird.
"Y-you traitor. You are supposed to be dead. Frieza killed you after you and your filthy race betrayed h-!!!"
*BOOOM*
Behind him a big explosion happened. Everyone was taken aback by it and they looked at the causer. Seeing Vegeta with 3 fingers pointed at them and with his cold eyes he said,
"Fodder characters like you always saying the most stupid of things."
His Saiyan a filthy race? That's some word that should never leave anyone's mouth while they are close to him.
"Enough, I don't have the patience to prolong it."
He pointed the 3 fingers at him. At this moment, the leader scouter went into a frenzy showing numbers that were not supposed to. He didn't have time to analyze what was happening until he heard Vegeta's voice again.
"Final Impact".
A flash of light came out of his finger directly at him. That was the last thing that the leader saw. His body hit the ground with a bloody hole in his face. The others didn't knew how to react to it and were only able to shake themselves out of the scene when another scream and a *tud* were heard.
Another one with a hole in his body. That was when they figured out that he was controlling the energy beam to hit everyone. But by then it was already too late. The beam is divided into 6 and then 9 and it keeps going, hitting everyone and killing them with one hit.
Their screams were short and in only a few seconds all the scouts were dead, their blood flowing from the hole in their body.
"S...Scary…" Jaco said while hugging his knee inside his ship.
"Yeah scary... Though seeing Jaco almost pee himself kind of took me out of the scary scene." She had a cool face and smirked a little bit. It doesn't even show that she was a bit scared.
Vegeta smirked. He thought that this woman was strong. And show it in her own way.
