Chapter 1097: Keep in touch

"She's calling again? What does she want this time?"

Dominic knew he shouldn't answer, but deep in his heart, he was desperate. He hadn't let Hera go; he would never let her go. So even if she would say all hurtful things, or force him to bring out his worst, he answered. 

"First of all, I'm not piloting or co-piloting the chopper," was the first thing Dominic heard as soon as he answered the phone. "And second, if you're going to be a jerk, make it more believable. You can't just be mean and then tell me not to get distracted while piloting a chopper. You're confusing me."

"I'm in love with you and I'm angry that I can't be with you," Dominic argued calmly. "What's there to be confused about?"

Again, silence followed.

Hera took a deep breath, glancing at the three who were looking at her in dismay. They hadn't worn their headsets, though. 

"I'm not taking you —"
