The fragrance of the trees tingled her nose. Athena opened her eyes to a hauntingly serene forest all by herself. She did not think of it as something unlikely. She stretched her arms and legs and paced by the riverside, waiting to see if something spectacular would break the monotonous aura of the sacred forest.
The rain then began pouring. The ground turned wet, and the whole greenery chilly. However, instead of finding warmth and a temporary roof, the goddess pranced around—splashing every puddle her feet could touch on.
She was jolly and bright, exulting like a little girl who never knew the horrors of reality. Her face might be drenched, but the roses on her cheeks bloomed, making her look vibrant. She was exquisite. With her long curly dark blonde hair swaying at her back and her dress thinly fitted to her curves—Athena unknowingly was battling Aphrodite for the title of beauty. The goddess of wisdom might have failed to gain Paris's golden apple, yet she did not fail to gain favors from the winds of Zephyr as it caressed her body like a dance partner.
Athena was giggling and smiling as she glided gracefully under the midnight rain. The sweet smell of the forest then changed into the scent of the gardenias, which enticed her senses and drifted her off to some place on cloud nine. She lost all the care in the world. At that euphoric moment, she let go and let loose from the responsibilities that gathered on her plate.
Nothing could stop Athena from her feast—from the pleasure that she gained out of nowhere.
She went on singing and dancing, pirouetting as her dress finally revealed the lovely features of her body—especially with the little hairs that curled between her thighs, the full roundness of her breasts that she hid, and not to mention its rosy tips.
But, as the rain started to pour heavily and the winds blew colder, the goddess somehow failed to notice the dark figure that watched her from a distance. It had no face—just completely dark like ebony coal after a day of burning as it hid behind the thick shadows of the shrubberies.
The mysterious man followed her steps. With her every leap and distance, he followed instantly. He was like a hungry lover wanting her midnight caresses—a hunter urging to take his prey as someone for his fondling game.
And when the right moment came—
The dark figure, almost a solid shadow, jumped toward the unknowing goddess and pinned her down to the ground.
Athena was completely caught off guard and could not immediately react to what was going on as the unknown entity climbed on top of her. She was numbed and dumbfounded by his presence. His face had no features—only a blank canvas with a veiled menacing glare.
The two of them had a stare-down, silently asserting dominance over one another. But when Athena tried to attack, the figure responded in such blasphemy that he effortlessly pushed her back to the ground and pounded a hard kiss on her lips.
Athena flushed and angered by the sacrilege act committed by the mysterious being. She could feel his tongue pushing towards her closed lips, wanting an entrance. She was petrified. Immobile to his aggressiveness that she almost lost the battle. And when something below was poking her, she knew that his pleasure went high above the sky.
Not wanting to feel more of his disgusting gratification, Athena rose her spirit and successfully pushed the figure away from her and shouted, "I curse you! I curse the day you were born and the remaining days of your life!"
Yet, instead of pleading for mercy, the dark entity laughed at her statement. "Ha! Ha! Curse—what a pity that a fair maiden thinks her divinity was for eternity."
His words caught her by surprise. She expressed a questionable look and did not say any rebuttal to him. Though there was no mouth on his face, she could sense the winning and annoying smile curving from cheek to cheek.
"Who knew that hatred could taste so sweet like cherries and roses crushed on a blood-red wine?" He teased more.
"You are a vile creature for disrespecting a god—" Before Athena could end her words—
The thunder clasped, flashing a bright light reflecting inside the smooth walls of the cave. Athena was twisting and turning, still reacting to the strange dream lingering in her head.
Seeing what was going on with his goddess, the wolf, and other forest creatures rushed to her side and did their best to gently woke her up. And when she finally opened her eyes, everyone sighed in relief.
"That—that was just a dream." Athena breathily said while she calmed the adrenaline of her beating heat. "Tha—thank you." She then told her friends. "I thought I almost got ki—never mind."
The wolf twisted his head, a gesture of puzzlement as to what she was about to say.
Athena giggled upon seeing his reaction. "No worries, my friend. I am alright and calm now, all thanks to you and everyone. I am grateful that not only you have brought me here for safety, but you have also pulled me out from something unspeakable."
The thunder's roars boomed this time, followed by another flash of lightning, causing the other critters to frantically ran and hide. In response to their understandable fear, the wolf offered comfort as he enclosed some into his twisting fur while others went to Athena, who also comforted them under her touch and embrace.
"Never fret, my dearies. We will protect you." The goddess smiled, assuring them of her promise. "Let us now go to sleep and invoke Hypnos to give us a good dream—a pleasant dream, to be exact."
The forest creatures followed what was told and closed their eyes, happy to have their goddess and wolf on that stormy night.

When everyone was asleep, Athena tried carefully not to murmur words—not wanting her forest friends to find out she was still fully awake. Her eyes could not rest easily as her mind wandered off—gripping that nightmare that felt so real.
It was disgusting. Despicable to the point that Athena wanted to pull out her lips as she still could feel the lust of the mysterious entity's tongue that wanted to tango with hers. The goddess held on to her mouth as her anger brewed from that scene that kept on repeating every second of the minute.
Her unreleased frustration then turned into beading tears. Her silver eyes were drowning, frustrated at how slowly she had become weak.
"I was supposed to be the bravest amongst the line of goddesses!" She contemplated. "But why? Why am I feeling these things?" Tears started to flow down, scared once she remembered those flirty words the dark figure said. His unseen smugness brought shivers down her, and how he forced himself on her was formidable—as if her life was drained from her body.
She wanted to forget about it, but every time she tried to do it, the same image—the same dread was eating her thoughts.
Sadly, the goddess only rested after she bitterly cried her anger in a petrifying and gloomy way. Her silent sobs dare not awaken anyone in that cave, not wanting more concerns that will only end in vagueness and frustration.
When she finally slumbered, little did Athena know that the wolf heard her sorrows—quietly staring at her under the thick veil of the shadow.
He was very much concerned for her. With every tear trickling down her beautiful face, he could feel his heart breaking like a fragile mirror. And once the wolf knew that his beloved friend was now prancing on the safe grounds of dreamland, he unhurriedly moved closer to her and licked those dried tears on her face—assuring her of his care for her.
The beast softly whimpered into Athena's ears, letting her know he was just there if trouble came again.

From plum to lilac, the night and Selene's glory faded. Little by little, the forest would soon sing its praises to the morning glory, welcoming Helios again. The wolf awoke first and immediately walked out, not letting the rest know.
Uncanny of him to do so that he did not even look back at his sleeping goddess—
From the slow rays of the sun, ever bright and golden, the wolf's eyes suddenly mirrored something unduly familiar; the amber hue became scarlet as the chaotic fires of war and wild as the men from Sparta.
It was strange and quite formidable.
