(A/N: While reading this fight, there are two essential things to keep in mind. First, the MC is a demon, and demons possess significantly greater strength than humans. Second, in the Naruto world, taijutsu can be augmented with chakra.)
After the fire had dissipated, the charred body of Minato came into view, shocking everyone. However, their shock soon turned into surprise as Minato's body transformed into charred wood.
Just before being hit by Michikatsu's Fire Release, Minato employed the 'Substitution technique' to avoid being burned.
Minato appeared behind Michikatsu and attempted to stab him with his kunai.
"Slow down," Michikatsu said as he turned around with incredible speed, easily catching Minato's hand and sending him flying with a gut punch.
Minato crashed into the arena wall at astonishing speed, coughing up stomach juice from the impact of Michikatsu's blow.
"Minato! Are you alright?" Shikaku shouted as he started running in Michikatsu's direction, kunai in hand. He also threw multiple shurikens, trying to impede Michikatsu's attack on Minato.
Michikatsu effortlessly dodged Shikaku's shurikens. When Shikaku approached and attacked Michikatsu, Michikatsu easily caught Shikaku's hand and remarked, "You know, when someone's strength far surpasses yours, no matter how hard you try, you can never defeat them. You may think you can defeat me, but it's impossible because nothing escapes my eyes. You threw those shurikens not only to hinder my movement and prevent me from attacking Minato but also to create an opportunity to use the 'Shadow Clone Technique' and employ the 'Shadow Imitation Technique,' am I correct?" Michikatsu said this before breaking Shikaku's hand in front of him, this Shikaku disappeared with a cloud of smoke, revealing that the Shikaku in front of him was clearly a Shadow Clone.
At that moment, Shikaku's real body, hidden behind a tree, emerged and remarked, "You're correct about my plan, and you saw through it quite easily. However, what's the point? Your overconfidence has cost you this match." As Shikaku spoke, his shadow connected with Michikatsu's, and he declared, "'Shadow Imitation Technique' complete."
Nara Shikari, who was in the stands, wore a smile on his face and commented, "My son has won the match." Both he and Jiraiya had worried expressions as Michikatsu had dominated the battle throughout, making it seem as though he were toying with both Shikaku and Minato.
The audience cheered upon witnessing Michikatsu being ensnared by Shikaku. However, throughout the ordeal, Michikatsu remained unfazed and calm, as if he were still in control of the battle.
"You are mistaken; it wasn't my overconfidence that led you to bind me. Instead, I wanted to make one thing clear to everyone present, including you. If I had won too easily, you all might have thought that if you had somehow completed your 'Shadow Imitation Technique,' I would have been defeated easily. Let me dispel this notion," said Michikatsu. With all his strength, he began exerting himself to break the 'Shadow Imitation Technique.' However, with just his raw strength, he couldn't break it. So, he thought and employed 'Total Concentration Breathing,' taking a deep, heavy breath through his mouth. As he did this, his blood started flowing rapidly through his body, his heart raced, and his veins became clearly visible from the outside. 'Total Concentration Breathing' boosted his strength significantly, more than enough to break Nara Shikaku's 'Shadow Imitation Technique.' As soon as he shattered it, Shikaku collapsed to the ground, and the shadow returned to him.
(A/N: A similar incident occurred when Metal Lee, the son of Rock Lee, shattered Shikamaru's son's 'Shadow Imitation Technique' using the First Gate.)
"I hope this dispels any delusion that you might have had about winning the match if you had succeeded in using the 'Shadow Imitation Technique,'" said Michikatsu as he looked at Shikaku.
Though Michikatsu made breaking the 'Shadow Imitation Technique' appear effortless, ninja who knew how challenging it was couldn't help but feel astonished.
"Quite disappointing, I must say. After all the boasting from your teacher and parents, I was expecting more from both of you," remarked Michikatsu, his disappointment evident on his face.
"Oh well, it can't be helped. Just give up and finish this match already," added Michikatsu.
At that moment, Minato stood up and declared, "I don't care about your disappointment, but I do care about disappointing my teacher. After all the confidence he had in me, losing in such a manner will surely disappoint him. Now, be cautious because the jutsu I'm about to use next is beyond my control."
Michikatsu raised an eyebrow upon hearing this and awaited Minato's next move.
Minato began by employing the 'Shadow Clone Technique,' creating a shadow clone.
Then, Minato utilized the 'Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique,' while his shadow clone used 'Wind Release: Great Breakthrough.' A massive wave of fire, enhanced by the wind, was released.
"What!? A compound ninjutsu? He's just a Genin, right? Then why can he perform something even Jonins find difficult?" exclaimed one of the Chunin in the audience.
(A/N: Boruto, often compared to Minato in terms of genius, was even more gifted than Minato, was able to do it so lets assume Minato can do it too.)
The Ninjas of Konoha Village were not the only ones shocked; even Ebizo and the Sunagakure graduates were taken aback by this ninjutsu.
"Very well, I shall respond in kind," declared Michikatsu as he leaped backward and created a shadow clone. He then employed 'Water Release: Wild Water Wave,' while his shadow clone used 'Wind Release: Great Breakthrough.' A stream of water, cooled by the wind, was released from Michikatsu.
The two compound ninjutsu clashed, with one side featuring the Fire release enhanced by the Wind release in terms of temperature and range, and the other side showcasing Water Release with an extremely low temperature, almost like ice due to the added Wind release.
Upon their collision, nothing but a water mist was produced.
