Chapter 73: iosefka pov

What... Was he?

That was the most frequent question going through her head. While she could defend herself should the need arise, she... Didn't have to.

This... Hunter charged in with what seemed to be reckless ambition, but she knew that wasn't it either.

He was covered in blood, and his clothes soaked and the smell probably wouldn't ever come off.

When they had some rest (iosefka not Percy) she was curious, however, could she not be?

She fixed his hat, or more like put it in its right order. He never talked, but they seemed to have a silent form of communication.

And where in kos name did he pull out those weapons of his? In a couple of minutes, he has been through many weapons.

A regular sword, a helberg, twin blades, daggers, and even a bow.

And speaking of bizarre things, he had an affinity with water. And as a doctor, she couldn't help but study him.

And what she found was... simply revolutionary.

His blood was strong. When she tried to combine both the old blood and this hunter the effect was also shocking.

They... Faught? If that was the correct term. Both are more violent as time continues to pass.

Iosefka was curious, and you know what they say about curiosity and a cat...

So when she reached for his mask if only to remove it a bit, he didn't stop her either.

Only tilted his head, and for a second she could imagine him as a dog. In a good way. Like a lost puppy.

This hunter seems to be adamant about searching every nook and cranny of this town. And he found passages that not even she knew existed.

He seemed to despise the beast, and although he never said it directly, she couldn't help but get the feeling he was calling them mongrels.

When he moved you couldn't help but get lost in the way he moved. He moved with such grace and elegance that it would put nobles to shame.

His eyes seemed to gleam red every time he saw his prey, giving him a more hunter look, but when he didn't have a beast to hunt, it returned to its normal green and black eyes.

He seemed to take kindly to her, always offering her food, water, and plenty of rest. As if she was not safe.

But she knew somehow, even if subconsciously, that she was safest by the hunter.

The hunter seemed to enjoy her ranting though, and amusement was there in his otherwise emotionless face.

While she was following the hunter whose name she didn't even know, he rolled through some barrels.

Why? She didn't know, but she could tell it was a habit that he had. And past that door was a woman.

Eileen the crow huh? The way the hunter's eyes scanned the woman seemed to let her know that she was dangerous.

At least to her. Something told her that the hunter could take this woman... In more ways than one.

Eileen was still talking when the hunter's head tilted as if listening to something pretty far away.

And he probably was since hunters had better senses than regular humans.

By the time she blinked, he just... Disappeared. iosefka had to do a double take at the hunter's last position.

"Hunter...?" She whispered.

"He left already. Don't mind him, he seemed to have something important... Maybe he's in the dream," the woman named Eileen said.

"The... What?" iosefka blinked confused.

"Ah, you wouldn't understand it. Oh, but you will... I know you will... They are flocking towards that man like flies... And not in a good way," Eileen's tone took a sharp turn.

A sudden chill was felt and he was back. An ice path was behind him and he was covered in blood.

Honestly, iosefka didn't get any to know where he went. She was going to let it stay a secret.

... (Meanwhile)

"She's such a good girl isn't she," said Percy as he was scratching sifs belly.

Sif barked back, with pure contentment, and loneliness. She was stuck in the globe, and while the world was full, she wasn't satisfied without her partner.

Sif whined with her sword in her mouth, clearly wanting to join Percy.

"Sorry girl. But I have to say no. Why don't you spend time with Stacy huh girl?" He asked while gently petting her head.

(Stacy= ds3 fire keeper. Didn't want to be creative)

Sif only barked and then whined.

"Yes girl I know, she has a weakness for soft fluffy things. But she isn't too bad... She's fun to be around," he said comforting sif.

"Hello ashen one," Percy felt the gentle hands of the fire keeper wrap around my chest.

"Hello Stacy," Percy said as he gently rubbed her hand with his fingers.

Stacy leaned into my neck and continued to hug me. She sniffed my neck and turned to me.

"Mmm... A woman... No 3 woman. That's how many you've met haven't you," she said.

'...ah fuck'

(The end)
