Chapter 229: Before the Full Moon

Mineah was the first to arrive at the bedchamber and get ready for bed. Unfortunately for her, Nikolai was still outside. He was currently in close coordination with every part of the Valcrez government, ensuring that the same incident in the province of Norma wouldn't happen again. There were so many things left to do, and yet Mineah didn't feel weary just looking at them knowing that she and Nikolai were in this together.

[Are you going to sleep already?] Nikolai suddenly asked her through their bond.

[Not yet, Lai. I still have to discuss things with Mother and Wizard Lurio,] she replied. [Either way, I'm sure I'll still be awake waiting for you to come back home.]

[Alright, I'll see you soon,] Nikolai hummed. [I love you…] 

Mineah just melted at his words as she smiled all alone inside their bedchamber. [I love you too,] she bashfully replied.
