Chapter 27: So Supple and Sweet

It always fascinated Nikolai how sharp his wife's tongue was. Surprisingly, that only made him admire her more as her wit just constantly made him want to talk to her. She might have a few curses, but so far he couldn't see any sort of weakness in her aside from her poor physical constitution.

Indeed, he has yet to find out what exactly her other curses were. He could always ask, but he has refrained from doing so just yet knowing how his wife was probably still on guard from his advances. He needed more time to pass to let her fully trust him with everything she had, and he was more than willing to give her the time she needed to do so. 

Nikolai looked around, and as he expected, all eyes were currently on them due to the stunt she just pulled. He frowned upon noticing another male vampire sneaking glances at his wife.
