Lily was distressed as she sat in the room, the feeling of helplessness mixed with hopelessness weighed deep in her soul, she sat on the bed, she couldn't go outside because the door was locked from the outside, she was bored and she has been wearing the same black gown for two days now.

She was hearing the sound of people shouting at the deck of the ship but she couldn't make out what they were saying, it was sounding gibberish in her ears so she went to the door and placed her head against it to hear more clearly.

It seems like they are about to go on shore, they were about to go on land, she thought to herself.

She felt dread pooling at the pit of her stomach, she had no idea who this BERT is and from the look of things, having those burly men under his control and heeding to his commands, BERT was a Mafia boss and a big time drug dealer, she was feeling cold all of a sudden and sweat was already forming on her forehead.
