Night watch. Capital City Theodora, East Sector.
Two guards walk the beat, chatting idly.
They are Ben and Buck.
A normal enough pair of Guards on patrol.
A warm night.
A light rain falls.

Ben: "Say, Buck?"
Buck: "Yeah mate?"
Ben: "Why do you suppose that water is sticky on some things, and more slip-ish on others?"
Buck: "Explain what you mean mate"
Ben: "Well...just now, me knee slipped up a bit on the cobble."
Buck: "What of it?"
Ben: "Why is that? The water's a bit slip-ish then yeah?."
-Buck glances down.-
Buck: "...Isn't it always mate?"
Ben: "Well...no. Look at this."
-Ben puts his foot in the gravel off to the side of the paved road.-
Ben: "Look at that mate. No slips, the water is sticky."
Buck: "Hm, Sticky you say? Yeah...I suppose I never thought of it that way."
Ben: "Yeah mate! And look at thi---!!"
-Places muddy foot back on the paved road and proceeds to immediately slip, flipping onto his back with a loud clang of Armor and flailing limbs.-
-Both men stare at one another.-
Buck: "..."
Ben: "..."
Buck: "I see your point...and I won't be tryin' that one mate."
Ben: "Yes...best you didn't then...best you didn't."

-From atop the inner wall, just 20 feet above the impervious pair of Guards, a pair of Officers watch on in disbelief.-
Officer 1: "Did he just?..."
-Slaps forehead.-
Officer 2: "Yesir."
Officer 1: "Fire him."
Officer 2: "Immediately Sir."
-Scurries off into the night.-
