Chapter 9: The Supply From The City Part Two

Silence!

The words were like straight arrows, piercing the heart of the villagers who were protesting against his opposite conclusion to the distribution of supply.

They were indeed a bunch of scared people, who never gathered the courage to venture outside of the village, one would never care about the judgement of people who did not dare to face the world.

Orion had already calculated it after seeing the matter, he continued his persona of a revolutionist.

"The village chief Dinah is a respected individual, his decisions are always taken in the interest of the folks living in the village, but I do think even such a person can make mistakes. You see the cruelty out there in the world, what do you think? God made the mistake of creating the sin, so Dinah is only a human after all,"

Orion's words were a bit complex but resonated with everyone. He knew in this spirit world, where cultivation existed, the superstitions would thrive in every corner.

Every villager nodded agreeing with him on that sentence.

People had blind faith in the supreme entity that was eternally kind and only consisted of love, so his statement was taken well by people decreasing their hostility towards him by a large amount.

The faces of Necker and the lackey were ashen by his statement, especially Necker who only thought that the village chief was the biggest bastard out there, able to turn every murder, rape or crime done by his son or by himself into justice or in advantage.

Vomit!

They were about to retort when Ser vomited some blood. Everyone's expression turned from scoffing to pity after seeing this.

"Grandpa!"

The ten-year-old girl hurriedly began massaging the chest of Ser attempting to calm him down, but Ser coughed more and more.

But underneath that face full of blood was a smile, a chilling smile.

Ser was smiling as he fell to the ground and finally stopped breathing.

"No! Grandpa, please wake up!"

The weeping sound of the little girl made the whole atmosphere solemn, and a tear fell out of Angelica as she could not bear to see that.

The banyan tree appeared to be a big shadow which has engulfed the entire surroundings into darkness.

Angelica rushed to the little girl and began comforting her, but the heart-wrenching cry of the little girl seemed akin to laughing at her misfortune sending chills in the gloomy evening.

"Ser, he was a respected individual in the city. One day, the people in charge forcefully dragged her daughter-in-law out of his home. They raped her, insulting every bit of the integrity and loyalty she had for her husband. They tortured her as she screamed in agony, murmuring her husband's name til the last while her tendons were being pulled out for the entertainment of those fucking bastards."

Orion's voice was soft at first, giving a peaceful description but became louder and louder at the ending immersing everyone in the story of Ser.

"What?! Something like that happened to him?"

"By goodness sake, I was so rude to him despite him being so polite,"

"Such a tragedy, how could he even live with those scars given to him by those rich bastards?'

The villagers were appalled listening to the story, Orion carefully crafted it leaving out important details such as Ser's personality so that they could imagine themselves in Ser's place.

In his words, he showed them the cruelty unleashed by the upper class on respected common folks like them and how their wives who were loyal to them could be tortured to death while they were being helpless to do anything.

After everyone was done shouting and cursing at those rich people, Orion advanced towards Necker who had a fearful but enraged expression on his face.

"He came to this village to give his granddaughter a respectable life, even though it was devoid of expensive stuff. Dinah promised him to just stay in the village and work, though it was a kind promise in this cruel world, it did not mean that he could not show some empathy and abstain Ser from working in the field. Then these bastards overbearingly cut his supplies and made him work by triple the amount, and today he could not bear the cruel fate and sheer exhaustion at this age,"

He pointed out to the dead body of Ser lying on the ground staining it with his blood which was gushing out his mouth.

"He is lying!"

"Stop spreading lies else I will kill you right now!"

Shocked by such a description, the lackey and Necker's faces became even more distorted as they finally could not take it anymore and stood up from their chairs.

A hidden smile appeared on Orion's face gazing at Necker who took a step back.

"Now I say! SHOULD SOMEONE LIKE THEM DESERVE TO LIVE IN THIS VILLAGE? THEY RAPED MANY GIRLS, KILLED MANY MEN AND BECAME THE DEMONS! SEE THAT GIRL, CAN YOU IMAGINE YOUR SON OR DAUGHTER WEEPING AT YOUR DEAD BODY? WILL YOU BE ABLE TO ANSWER THE GOD WHEN HE WILL ASK YOU WHY YOU DID NOT STOP SUCH EVIL? TELL MEEEE!!!"

Boom!

The table was thrown away by the lackey, wearing a ferocious face in anger.

"KILL THEM!"

"TORTURE THEM ALIVE!"

"THEY DO NOT DESERVE TO LIVE!"

The villagers were boosted by Orion's speech, their hearts had become thinking of performing an act of goodness for the sake of eradicating the evil.

"Then see the ultimate price of doing evil to the common folks, the judgement has arrived for you by the god!"

Shuck!

Orion's speed increased by many times, appearing before the lackey who was bald and had his muscles bulging out.

"You shall know the pain by the order of the god!"

His tone was precise, concise and deep like an angel bringing judgement as he punched the lackey.

"You fucking bitch!"

The lackey threw a punch attempting to counter the incoming one.

Crack!

Due to the sheer power of Orion's punch, some finger bones of the lackey cracked.

"AHHH!"

The lackey screamed in pain while the villagers prayed to the god looking at a teenager who fought with the burly man.

Everyone thought it was a miracle of god that a teenager could fight such a strong man.

Boom!

Orion used his right leg and threw it in the air like a sidekick which targeted the lackey's head but was stopped by lackey's blocking hands.

"Ahh! How are you so powerful?"

The lackey screamed out in pain even after blocking his leg, while Necker was too scared to engage in the fight with him.

Orion got closer to the lackey and whispered.

"I am a cultivator!"

"Forgi..!"

Before the lackey could finish the sentence, a villager threw a big brick which knocked him into unconsciousness stage.

Orion turned around and saw it was an old man who threw the brick and nodded.
