Tareef was able to successfully cover up the incident with the help of Ciro and Clay that revered him.

Though he didn't only focus on hiding the incident, Tareef also performed a deep investigation on the incident, tracing David Hutson's record to date—where he usually went, what he ate, and his businesses, among others. 

Tareef was not good at investigations, so Clay had done most of the work pertaining to this matter.

The date for the celebration slowly arrived, each day becoming more hectic as time encroached on them.

Tareef stood idly on the watchtower of Blythe, located not too far from the City Lord's house. It was currently the tallest structure in Blythe, giving Tareef a clear view of the bustling city.
